
Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite (SM8735) chipset specifications have surfaced, revealing details about its CPU architecture, GPU, and potential performance benchmarks. In this article, we will discuss everything we know so far about the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Elite.
Snapdragon 8s Elite Rumors
CPU and GPU
The Snapdragon 8s Elite is expected to feature a 1+3+2+2 core configuration, consisting of one Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores running at 3.01GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.80GHz, and two additional Cortex-A720 cores at 2.02GHz. The chipset will reportedly include the Adreno 825 GPU.
Rumored first device
Meanwhile, a Redmi phone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Elite is rumored to feature a 1.5K OLED display, a massive 7000mAh battery, and support for 90W charging. The global version of this device could launch as the POCO F7.
Performance Comparison
Compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the 8s Elite uses standard Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720 cores, while the 8 Elite is expected to feature custom Oryon cores. The Snapdragon 8s Elite also includes the Adreno 825 GPU, while the 8 Elite reportedly uses the more advanced Adreno 830.
Preliminary Geekbench 6 results show a single-core score of 1967 and a multi-core score of 5827 for the Snapdragon 8s Elite. These scores are based on early testing, so the final retail units may perform differently.
