STEM feed on TikTok

TikTok has been one of the most popular apps for a while now, attracting users from all age groups with its endless entertainment. But if you’re someone who wants to actually learn something using this platform, they have added a cool new feature called STEM, which could be perfect for you. Let’s talk about this.

What is TikTok STEM?

STEM is a special feed on TikTok that focuses on content related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It was first launched in the U.S. in March 2023, but now it’s available in other regions too, including Nepal.

To access this feature, you don’t even have to try anything, it’s already there. Just open TikTok and, right next to the “Following” tab, you’ll find the STEM feed. If you don’t see it for some reason, simply update your app and it should appear. I gave it a quick try for just 15 minutes and was really impressed by the insightful videos.

Different from your regular feed

One of the reasons, the STEM feed stands out is because it focuses on educational and informative content. While your regular TikTok feed is full of memes, challenges, and lifestyle videos, the STEM feed prioritizes knowledge-sharing. This means you’ll get to see videos about scientific discoveries, tech innovations, engineering breakthroughs, and cool math concepts.

So, if you’re a student, professional, or just curious about learning, this feed is super helpful. Plus, it helps you avoid getting distracted by random, unrelated content.

And if some videos don’t interest you, don’t worry about that. You can always hit the “Not interested” option (like I did with chemistry-related videos) and get more of what you enjoy.

Conclusion

If you’re on TikTok already (or thinking about joining), I’d definitely recommend giving the STEM feed a shot. It’s a fun and easy way to learn something new while scrolling through the app!
