The rebranding culture inside BBK Electronics—the parent company of OPPO, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus—is going strong now. Just a while ago, Vivo Y78 5G (global) went official with a curved 120Hz AMOLED panel and Snapdragon 695 chipset. Now, it has landed under the "Vivo V29 Lite" moniker in Europe. Design and Display

Commencing with the design, the V29 Lite borrows the 3D arc design by Vivo. Flaunting a slim aesthetics, the frame is just 7.9mm thin. While the plastic back panel uses a seven-layer nano-level coating, creating a jade porcelain texture. Vivo ships the phone in two colors: Black and Gold. As for the display, you get a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a Full HD+ resolution, 1300 nits of peak brightness, and supports a 100% P3 color gamut and 105% NTSC color gamut.

Performance

Vivo V29 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. This two-year-old SoC is fabbed under a 6nm process and features two Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz with six Cortex-A55 efficient cores backing them at up to 1.7 GHz. And handling the graphics is an Adreno 619 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, it is available in a sole 8/128GB trim in Europe as of now.

Camera

Getting to the optics, you are looking at a triple camera setup at the back. The primary camera is a 64MP shooter with OIS while the rest of the lenses are not so useful, including a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensing units. Whereas you'll find a 16MP selfie shooter inside the hole-punch cutout. Also, the smartphone cannot record 4K videos due to the chipset's limitations.
