Vivo V60 Lite 4G gets a price surge in Nepal

Vivo recently launched the midrange V60 Lite Series in Nepal, featuring the standard V60 Lite and the V60 Lite 5G. Apart from the chipset, both models share almost identical features and specifications. Interestingly, Vivo has increased the price of the 4G variant, while the 5G variant's pricing stays the same for now, Let’s take a closer look at the Vivo V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G, including their design, features, specifications, and the latest official pricing in Nepal.

Vivo V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G Overview

      Design and display

As you can see, both phones share a similar design to the regular Vivo V60.

But unlike the V60's glass back option, these two feature a plastic back only. The V60 Lite duo is also IP65 rated, making it capable of withstanding water splashes. Available in "Titanium Blue" and "Titanium Black" colors (sorry, "Pop Pink" option for Nepal), the V60 Lite series is pretty slim at just 7.59mm too.

Similarly, these two bring a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo has also trimmed down the bezels by quite a bit, resulting in an impressive 94.2% screen-to-body ratio. Then again, all these physical similarities aside, there is a slight difference in their display quality.

So the V60 Lite 5G has a higher 3,000 nits of local peak brightness versus 1,800 nits on the regular V60 Lite. Whereas the 5G model also has HDR10+ support and is HDR-certified for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, too. All this has been complemented with a stereo speaker setup that can pump loudness up to 400%.

      Performance and camera

As for performance, the Vivo V60 Lite 5G brings MediaTek's Dimensity 7360-Turbo (4nm) chip inside. Which is a pretty big upgrade over the Snapdragon 685 (6nm) on its 4G variant. For reference, the Dimensity 7360-Turbo scores around 880,000 on the AnTuTu v10 benchmark, compared to just 380,000 average for Qualcomm's two-year-old 4G chip.

And this has been paired with 8/12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256/512GB of storage. Do note that the 5G model also ships with a faster UFS 3.1 storage versus UFS 2.2 on the regular Vivo V60 Lite.

In terms of software, they both run on Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15, although Vivo should push the new OriginOS 6 update for these phones shortly as well.

Getting to the cameras, the Vivo V60 Lite series uses a 50MP IMX882 f/1.79 sensor at the back and an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view. It also has a ring light for portraits, while you get a 32MP selfie camera here. You can also expect 4K recording here, but only on the V60 Lite 5G.

      Battery and the rest

The V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G both get a massive 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery. Vivo says you can expect 27.5 hours of YouTube playback on both of them, while their 90W fast charging can take the phone from 1 to 100% in just 52 minutes. There's also 6W reverse wired charging support.

Other than that, they both come with dual SIM slots, dual-band Wi-Fi, and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.

Should you buy the Vivo V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G in Nepal?

The Vivo V60 Lite models are visually appealing for those seeking a stylish phone. The cameras are also on the pretty decent side, but the chipsets lack the absolute power needed for the asking price. Meanwhile, the 6500mAh battery with 90W fast charging is commendable.

Should you buy the Vivo V60 Lite Series in Nepal?

The Vivo V60 Lite and V60 Lite 5G offer large batteries, AMOLED displays, and a stylish design, but neither delivers strong value for money. The 4G model feels underpowered, and even the 5G variant struggles to outperform competitors in the same price range, like the Nothing Phone (3a) and Infinix GT 30 Pro. If you prioritize battery life and a decent screen, they’re fine, but for performance, cameras, and overall bang for your buck, better alternatives exist in Nepal’s midrange segment.
