Alongside the Vivo X Fold 2, the company is here with its first clamshell phone as well, the Vivo X Flip. Approaching a newer design on the rear side, the phone comes with a fully usable exterior display. Let's get into the specs, features, and expected price of Vivo X Flip in Nepal.

      Vivo X Flip Overview:

      Design and Display

As the name implies, the Vivo X Flip follows a clamshell form factor. It is 8.19mm thick when expanded and weighs 198 grams. The phone is available in three color options: Ling Purple, Silk Gold, and Diamond Black. For the main display, the Vivo X Flip sports a 6.74" FHD+ LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to Oppo Find N2 Flip. The screen is made up of UTG tough glass and is creaseless thanks to the 5.3mm water droplet design with a large diameter.

What's more interesting is its 3-inch AMOLED cover display with a camera island on top. It is a horizontal screen spanning from left to right of the rear panel with a 682 x 422 pixels resolution. Unlike the usual cover displays on other clamshell phones, this one is fully functional. Users can run apps, watch videos and make calls on the go without having to open the main display. You also get featured 'Pet' options such as cats and dogs on the cover display.

      Performance

Vivo's first clamshell phone gets the horsepower of a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. This 4nm made 5G silicon boasts an Octa-core processor with a prime Cortex X2 at 3.0GHz, 3x Cortex-A710 at 2.5GHz & 4 Cortex-A510 cores at 1.80GHz. On the GPU side, you get the Adreno 730. Moreover, this clamshell arrives with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. As for the software, the X Flip boots on Android 13-based OriginOS 3 skin.

      Cameras

For the optics, the X Flip houses a dual camera setup, headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with OIS. Whereas the other camera is a 12MP IMX663 ultrawide sensor, both placed under a circular camera island above the cover display. The Zeiss branding follows here too, as seen on other flagships from Vivo. Likewise, you get a 32MP selfie snapper on the front side.

      Rest of the specs

Fueling the smartphone is a 4400mAh battery with 44W charging support. As for the connectivity, you get WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. Likewise, the phone houses a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics.
