The new Vivo Y54s brings Dimensity 700 and downgraded display, cameras

Vivo has been on roll to launch devices in its Y-series. After Y15s, the company is back again with the new Y54s. So, let’s get through the specs, features, availability, and expected price of Vivo Y54s in Nepal.

Design and Display

The Y54s sports a 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and an HD resolution. There's no high refresh rate support either and to make matters worse, its predecessor had a Full HD display. The screen has a classic waterdrop notch and an 89% screen-to-body ratio. The back of the device features a glossy finish and houses a square-shaped camera module. Likewise, Vivo Y54s is available in Titanium Grey and Lake Blue color options.

Performance

Powering the phone is a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset, coupled with 6GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It also supports virtual RAM expansion by up to 2GB. Y54s boots on Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0. Similarly, the device gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

Camera

As for optics, you get a dual-camera setup on the back which includes a 13MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP lens on the aforementioned notch for selfies. To compare, the Y53s hosts a 64MP triple-camera setup at the back.

Besides this, the connectivity options on the Vivo Y54s include dual-band Wi-Fi, OTG, a Micro-USB port, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 5.1. For biometrics, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
