Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro & K100 Pro Max Overview
Design and Display
Starting off, the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max follow a premium flagship design with a large display and slim body. However, the K100 Pro is more compact and lighter than the Pro Max. For durability, both phones also come with an IP66, IP68, and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
Here, you can choose from “Black”, “White”, and “Burgundy” as the common color options, while the Pro model has an extra “Light Green” finish and the Pro Max has a “Blue” variant.

Up front, Redmi K100 Pro features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 2608 x 1200 pixel resolution, whereas Pro Max gets a larger 6.9-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 2510 x 1156 resolution. They also support a 185Hz refresh rate and 4,800Hz instant touch sampling. This should make scrolling smooth during long gaming sessions.
Additionally, the panels also support 12-bit color, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and DC dimming. Xiaomi claims up to 4,500 nits of brightness in a 25% area and as high as 10,000 nits in a 1% area. The phones also introduce the company's M11 luminescent material, which is designed to improve display efficiency. Both screens can go down to 1 nit and use circularly polarized light technology for better eye comfort.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Redmi K100 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset, while the Pro Max gets the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. To support the performance of this flagship chipset, the K100 Pro has a 5,150mm² cooling system, while the Pro Max gets a larger 6,300mm² setup. This should be useful for users who regularly play demanding games or run heavier workloads, as better heat management can help the phone maintain performance, reducing quick throttling.

Besides this, the Pro Max also gets Redmi's Rage Engine, with support for native 185fps gaming in more than 30 titles. Xiaomi says the phone can run CrossFire: Mobile at over 185fps in an ultra-high-definition mode. Of course, actually reaching those frame rates will depend on the game and its optimization, but the phone's hardware is clearly designed with high-refresh-rate gaming in mind.
Memory-wise, both are paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Here, the K100 Pro comes with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, whereas the Pro Max goes a step further with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. On the software side, both phones run Xiaomi HyperOS 3, bringing the latest Xiaomi interface to the table.

Camera and Battery
For cameras, both phones use a 200MP primary sensor with a 1/1.56-inch S5KHP5 sensor, f/1.68 aperture, OIS, and EIS. The difference comes with the other cameras. The K100 Pro pairs it with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP 2.5x periscope telephoto camera with OIS. Meanwhile, the K100 Pro Max gets a more versatile setup with a 50MP ultrawide and 5x periscope telephoto camera with OIS. This means that from both phones you should be able to capture some of the good portraits and low-light shots.

Apart from that, battery capacity is something that you might notice a difference in these two K-series siblings. The K100 Pro packs an 8,580mAh battery, while the Pro Max gets an even larger 9,070mAh cell. These are considerably larger, so both models should have plenty of room for heavy daily use, and it seems like the Pro Max model is aimed at users who prioritize battery endurance over keeping the phone light.
Similarly, both models support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. They also support reverse charging, while Xiaomi's Surge P3 and Surge G2 chips handle charging and battery management. Bypass charging is included as well, which is useful during long gaming sessions.
