Asus is gearing up to launch the Zenfone 12 Ultra in the first week of February. The company has teased a few things about the upcoming smartphone including a ‘makeover’ so let’s get right into what we know and expect of the Zenfone 12 Ultra including possible specifications, and expected pricing.
Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra Rumor
The Zenfone series from Asus was quite popular for its compact design, but with the launch of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, it kind of lost its charm as just another big Android.
Looks like the brand has no plans on going back with an official tease revealing the existence of a ‘Zenfone 12 Ultra’. Although we don’t know any other information about the series as a whole, it’s safe to assume that we won’t get a small phone this time either.
The teaser shows the front of the upcoming Zenfone 12 Ultra revealing slimmer bezels and a centered hole-punch slot for the front camera.

Performance
Moreover, the Zenfone 12 Ultra recently appeared on Geekbench, revealing that the device will likely feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM. The phone will run on Android 15 with ZenUI on top. Additionally, Asus will integrate advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) features into the device. However, we are not sure what exactly these features are yet.
Design and Display
The Zenfone 12 Ultra is expected to share similar design elements with the ROG Phone 9, based on earlier reports. It will feature a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The teaser image shows the front side of the phone, which suggests the form factor will remain largely unchanged compared to the Zenfone 11 Ultra.
Camera and More
The teaser highlights the letter “O” in the phrase “Coming Soon,” which could indicate a redesign of the camera module. In terms of specifications, the Zenfone 12 Ultra will likely feature a 50-megapixel primary, a 32-megapixel telephoto, and a 13MP Ultra-wide camera. On the front, it may sport a 32-megapixel camera for selfies.

As for the battery, the phone could come with a 5,800mAh battery, offering 65W wired charging and 15W wireless charging support.
