Performance

It’s been a steady drip of leaks and rumors over the past few months, but the OnePlus Nord 5 is finally shaping up to be more than just speculation. While early reports painted a different picture, we now have a clearer look—thanks to fresh leaks and OnePlus’ official event announcement. Let’s take a look at what’s changed, what remains consistent, and what we now know for sure.

OnePlus Nord 5 Rumors

Confirmed Launch Date

Previously, the launch was expected to take place sometime in July, with some tipsters pointing to July 8. That date is now official—OnePlus has confirmed its Summer Launch Event for July 8, where the Nord 5 will debut alongside the Nord CE 5.

Display and Design

Earlier leaks suggested a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. That still holds, although new reports now specify a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2800 × 1272. This confirms it’s indeed a 1.5K screen.
