Amazfit has just announced its flagship smartwatch at IFA 2023. The all-new Amazfit Balance features a large AMOLED display, body composition analysis, AI-powered health tracking, and improved battery life among other things. So, let’s get right into the design, features, specifications, and expected price in Nepal of the Amazfit Balance smartwatch.
Amazfit Balance Overview
Design and Build
The Amazfit Balance is a 46mm smartwatch with a generous 1.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a 73.4% screen-to-body ratio. The Aluminium alloy frame is complemented by fabric and/or silicon straps. The watch is rated for up to 5ATM and features an action button alongside a crown for navigation. It is relatively lightweight at 35g and available in ‘Sunset Grey’ and ‘Midnight’ color options.
The AMOLED display has a resolution of 480×480 pixels and can reach a maximum peak brightness of 1500 nits.
Amazfit Balance: Features
The smartwatch is loaded with sensors ranging from BioTracker 5.0 and BIA sensors to gyroscope, acceleration, geomagnetic, air pressure, ambient, and temperature sensors. Besides that, the watch comes with dual-band GPS for accurate and reliable positioning.
Before we get to the all-new upper body composition measurement, let’s talk about the ‘Readiness analysis’ on the Amazfit Balance.
Your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, and stress levels are monitored throughout the day and night. The Balance smartwatch then uses all this information with other recorded data to track your physical and mental recovery and assigns a Readiness score every morning. If you opt to pay for their Aura subscription, you get access to ‘Readiness Insights’ which uses AI to analyze your score throughout a period of time and give you tailored advice.
The Sleep Tracking is also quite sophisticated on the Amazfit Balance. Besides recording your overall sleep duration and sleep stages, the watch can detect daytime naps, monitor your breathing during sleep, and assign a sleep score.
Amazfit Balance now allows you to perform an upper body composition which is new for an Amazfit smartwatch. This includes Body Fat, Skeletal Muscle, Muscle, Water, Bone Mass, Protein, BMI, and Basal Metabolism. Pair the watch with Amazfit’s Analyzer Mat for a full body composition measurement.
Zepp Pay and Others
With the new watch, Amazfit also announced Zepp Pay which will allow you to make contactless payments. You can link your bank accounts and cards to Curve for transactions in 33 countries including UK, France, Germany, and Spain. Amazfit Balance offers over 150 sports modes and 200 watch faces. The watch boots on Zep OS 3.0 with over 150 downloadable apps.
Amazfit Balance comes with a 475 mAh battery (magnetic chargeable) supporting up to 14 days of typical usage. With the Always On Display (AOD) enabled, this shrinks down to around 5 days. And with dual-band GPS on at all times, battery life further shortens to just 26 hours. On the contrary, the watch can last an impressive 25 days in battery-saver mode.
