The Radeon RX 9070 XT was also announced alongside the regular RX 9070, which we have covered in a different article. Here’s everything we know about the RX 9070 XT so far.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Overview

Key Features

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT

Just like the RX 9070, the RX 9070 XT is also powered by AMD’s new RDNA 4 architecture. It also features AI-powered FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4), offering machine learning-driven upscaling and frame generation. FSR 4 is exclusive to RDNA 4 GPUs, with support in games that integrate FSR 3.1, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as mentioned in the previously written article.

Performance

AMD hints that the RX 9070 XT will compete with Nvidia’s RTX 4070 Ti in terms of performance. However, there is no direct comparison to Nvidia’s DLSS yet.

AMD’s Adrenalin software for the RX 9070 XT will feature new AI-powered tools. These tools include image generation, document summarization, and a chatbot that can assist with graphics settings.

AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Launch Date

The RX 9000 series will represent RDNA 4 desktop GPUs, with the 9070 XT being one of the first models. AMD has not provided a specific release date yet but confirmed the GPU will be available in Q1 2025.
