If you are looking for a laptop offering a balance between portability, productivity, and display, this might be worth considering

Asus VivoBook S14 2026 has arrived in the Nepali market to cater to students, professionals, content creators, and everyday users looking for a laptop that offers reliable performance for productive tasks and multitasking. The laptop features a newly introduced “Gorgon point” processor, which is said to be the rebrand of its predecessor, “AI 300 Series.” That said, I don’t think there is a huge difference in the performance, about which I will talk later. So yeah, in the article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the Asus Vivo Book S14 M3407GA, including its specs, availability, and price in Nepal.
Asus Vivo Book S14 M3407GA 2026 Overview:
Design and Display
Starting with the design, the Asus VivoBook S14, like any other ultrabook, features a durable aluminum top cover and a metallic chassis to give a premium feel and professional aesthetic without compromising on weight. The laptop is ultra-slim, measuring around 17.9mm thick and weighing 1.40 Kg, making it highly portable for daily commuters.
Additionally, it has a military-grade standard certification (US MIL-STD 810H) for durability, to ensure that the laptop can easily withstand harsh environments and daily wear and tear. You can find the laptop in two color options: Matte Gray and Cool Silver

Moving on to the display, the Asus VivoBook S14 2026 has a non-touch 14-inch WUXGA OLED panel with 1920 x 1200 pixels of resolution that delivers sharp text and clear visuals. Its 16:10 aspect ratio offers extra space for productive tasks compared to standard displays. The screen supports a 60Hz refresh rate, which is decent for daily tasks.
Talking about brightness, the display offers 300 nits of standard brightness, making it perfect for indoor use, whereas you might struggle to use the device in a bright environment. It covers 95% DCI-P3 color gamut and 10-bit color depth, delivering deep blacks and details required for color-accurate tasks like photo or video editing.
Performance and Memory
In terms of performance, the Asus VivoBook S14 is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 processor. It features an integrated NPU capable of up to 59 TOPS for AI tasks like background blur, real-time translation, and an integrated AMD Radeon graphics card, making the device powerful enough for everyday tasks and light content creation. As I said above, even if the laptop is said to use a newly introduced CPU, there is no significant jump in performance because it is a rebrand of the Ryzen AI 5 300 series processor found on older ultrabooks. The new CPU boosts slightly more (up to 4.5 GHz) clock speed to offer a snappier daily response, compared to Ryzen AI 5, and adds more AI features rather than enhancements in the raw performance.
So, if you prioritize efficiency and battery life, then it might be a good option for you, however, if you are looking for a performance-oriented laptop, then you should look for other options like Acer Swift Go 14 or Lenovo Slim 7, as they offer similar specs with high performance at a similar price point.

For memory, the laptop is configured with 16GB DDR5 RAM. You can expand it up to 32GB via one SO-DIMM slot, which is great given that it's a thin ultrabook. Likewise, it offers up to 1TB 4.0 SSD storage and also includes one M.2 slot in case you want to add storage to increase capacity without deleting anything.
Battery and Connectivity
Regarding the battery, the Asus VivoBook S14 2026 packs a 70WHrs Li-ion battery paired with a 68W Type-C adapter. Here, Asus claims that it offers all-day productivity up to 25 hours of video playback. But in a general scenario, you can expect 8 to 12 hours for everyday tasks like document editing or web browsing, whereas for heavy tasks such as video or photo editing, the battery can last up to 3-4 hours.

As for connectivity, the laptop includes 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with display/ power support, 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
