DJI just launched its latest professional gimbal, the RS 5, in China. The improvements aren't that signficant but it has indeed improved subject tracking and one-handed operation, such that it can be very easy for shooters. This article will discuss everything about the latest DJI RS 5, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability. Let's get into the details.
DJI RS 5 Overview
Intelligent Tracking and Motor Power

The biggest change here is the new magnetically attached Intelligent Tracking Module. It actually shows a live feed directly on the gimbal's touchscreen, so that you can tap to lock onto people, cars, or pets. It can keep track of things up to 10 meters away and even finds them again if they briefly leave the shot.
On the hardware side, the motors have more punch now. DJI says there’s a 50% increase in peak torque, which could be useful for moving the camera or switching to vertical shots. They’ve also added a Z-axis indicator on the screen to help you see and correct vertical bounce while you walk.

Design and Battery
It’s a fairly light setup at 1.46 kg but can still carry a 3 kg camera payload. Balancing is a bit faster thanks to adjustable knobs on all the arms and a teflon coating that helps parts slide easily. You get about 14 hours of use from the standard battery, and it supports fast charging that gets it to 100% in an hour. If that’s not enough, there’s a high-capacity grip that pushes the runtime to 30 hours.
