The second spot on this list of best laptops under NPR 70000 in Nepal is held by the HP 250 G9 Notebook. It is powered by the newer 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U processor. This chip brings a new hybrid core architecture with Efficiency (E) and Performance (P) cores. As a result, it performs substantially faster than Core i5-1135G7 we usually get in this segment—especially in multi-core tasks.

That said, the other aspect of the HP 250 G9 Notebook is pretty average. It sports a 15.6-inch FHD screen housed inside an all-plastic body. Since it is a 15.6-inch laptop, you get a full-size keyboard with a dedicated number pad. And yes, the keys are backlit. Finally, the best laptop under Rs. 80,000 in Nepal currently is the Acer Aspire 5 (2023). It packs the Intel Core i5-1335U based on the latest 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” architecture. It is a deca-core processor with 2 P-cores, 8 E-cores, and a turbo frequency of 4.6GHz. This is paired with 8GB and 512GB of SSD storage. Outside of it, it brings a plastic-metal hybrid design. The lid is made of aluminum, while the rest of the body is composed of plastic. In terms of connectivity, it has a Type-C port and Wi-FI 6, which are a great addition for an Rs. 80,000 laptop in Nepal. All in all, we believe the Aspire 5 (2022) is a great starter laptop for students on a budget.
