Display and Design
The upcoming Google Pixel is expected to come in the dimensions of 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm. In addition, the leaked renders of the Google Pixel 9 show the phone in well… flat frames. It’s been a few years since iPhones reverted to flat frames, and it appears now the entire smartphone industry is following suit. Samsung made both its base Galaxy S24 and the Ultra variant much more boxier than before. Looks like the bland flat design will be the standard in the coming years. Thanks, Apple!
It is unclear what the material of choice here is, however, we can expect Pixel phones to feature Titanium sooner rather than later. In addition to its design, the Pixel 9 might boast a 6.03-inch display, slightly more compact than the Pixel 9 Pro’s 6.1-inch screen. Moreover, Google is expanding the Pixel 9 series with the introduction of the Pixel 9 Pro XL, featuring identical specifications but a larger 6.7-inch display.

Camera
It appears that Google is updating the design of the Pixel phones in more than one way. They had that iconic camera island on the back that kind of resembled the eyewear of Marvel Comics’ Cyclops. Well, looks like we will have to bid goodbye to that Pixel camera island.
A more pill-shaped camera island will be replacing the camera island, while the Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL models will come with 3 cameras. Although previous rumors were suggesting that the Pixel 9 would feature three cameras, recent online rumors indicate otherwise. Moreover, the Pixel 9 series is expected to house Tensor 4, codenamed “Redondo”.

As it stands, we only have the initial look through the leaked renders and do not have much tea on the hardware side of things.
