Honor launched the Magic 6 series earlier this year and they were pretty solid offerings. Now buzz for Honor’s next-generation flagship offerings has started generating. In this article, we will be looking at all the talks going around about the Honor Magic 7 series.
Honor Magic 7 Series Rumours Round-up
What’s the talk?
Firstly, sources are expecting the Honor Magic 7 series to follow the steps of its predecessor and offer four choices: the base model, Magic 7 Pro, Magic 7 Ultimate, and Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design.
In the meantime, a Chinese tech news portal — CNMO, reported on the “leaks” of Honor Magic 7 Pro circulating on the internet. The report even shared a mock render of the phone.

The supposed leak of the Honor Magic 7 Pro goes into great detail and lists out some of the key specs.
Design and Display
Starting with the design, the render shows the phone to have four cutouts on the camera island. The fourth cutout appears to be the flash. Additionally, the leak suggests the phone will boast an IP68 as well as an IP69 rating. Meanwhile, it might don the next generation of Kunlun Glass for screen protection.
Talking of the screen, the Honor Magic 7 Pro is expected to have a dual-layer 8T LTPO OLED panel with curved edges all around. Furthermore, it is expected to measure 6.82 inches diagonally, stretch 2K in resolution and offer a 120Hz refresh rate.

Performance
Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 appears to be the processor of choice. Unsurprising. Additional performance hardware includes LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Other than that, we can expect it to have a C1+ signal enhancing and E1 efficiency chip as well.
The Honor Magic 7 Pro is also expected to pack a 5,800 mAh third-generation silicon carbon battery with support for 100W wired and 66W wireless charging. We saw this battery and the C1+ in the Honor Magic V3 which launched in July this year.
Cameras
Talking of cameras, the Honor Magic 6 Pro made waves with its 180-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. While the claims with the zoom camera are a bit uncertain. It seems certain that Honor is sidelining the 180MP shooter.
Rumours suggest the company will either go with a 50MP Sony IMX882 or 200MP Samsung HP3 sensor. Regardless of whatever happens with the telephoto lens, it appears all the other shooters will be 50MP units, including the front-facing camera. Here the primary shooter is said to be OmniVision OV50H while the selfie shooter will be coupled with 3D depth sensors.
Honor Magic 7 Series Launch and Availability
The Honor Magic 6 series launched in mid-January this year. However, sources say that the upcoming flagship will be out of the oven a little earlier and will go public in November. Given that Qualcomm is planning to announce the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in October, the Honor Magic 7 series launching in November doesn’t sound implausible.
Note: Everything we’ve heard so far hasn’t come from credible sources. So, there are chances that the information we mentioned above might go south.
