Design and Display
The Honor MagicBook Pro 16 (2024) has a rather slim frame with two separate hinges near the edges. This laptop features a full-size keyboard along with a number pad. Additionally, the laptop comes with 3D colouring spray coating and is available in two colour options: Midnight Black, and White. The Midnight Black variant appears to have a matte texture while the white version seems to have a subtle colourful gradient finish.
As the name suggests, the laptop features a 16-inch screen on the front with minimal bezels. The company has not specified the type of panel over here, but it is most likely an IPS LCD. It spans 3,072 x 1,920 pixels achieving 3K resolution. Moreover, you get a high refresh rate of 165Hz, a wide colour gamut of 100% DCI-P3, and a colour accuracy of ΔE<0.5. This screen also boasts a double TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light and no flicker.
Performance
Honor spends a great volume of its overview space talking about the AI capabilities of the MagicBook Pro 16. Firstly, the laptop is capable of AI-empowered cross-OS collaboration. Meaning, that you can enjoy the ecosystem benefit in up to 8 devices running on MagicOS 8.0 and above. Secondly, this ultrabook allows “Smart Picture Search” which appears to be similar to the “circle to search” feature we saw on the latest Samsung flagship phones.
Other than that, the Honor MagicBook Pro 16 is capable of utilising the power of AI for various tasks. This includes gaming, graphics rendering, programming calculations, mobile office, live video, and even web browsing. The on-device AI and the computing heavy lifting are done by a combination of Intel Core Ultra 7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series of dedicated graphics cards. It runs on Windows on the OS side of things. The information regarding memory and storage has not been disclosed by the company as of now.

Battery and the rest
The latest Honor laptop packs a 75Wh battery in the tank. With this, the company is claiming up to 12 hours of battery life, thanks to their OS Turbo i.e. platform-level AI optimisation. Other than that, this laptop also supports spatial audio which Honor claims to be the first in the world for a Windows PC.
