Huawei has recently launched the MateBook E 2-in-1 laptop in China. It competes against the likes of Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and Apple’s iPad Pro. Let’s walk through the specs, features, availability, and expected price of Huawei MateBook E in Nepal.
Huawei MateBook E Overview:
Design and Display
To begin with, the MateBook E flaunts a 12.6-inch OLED display with minimal bezels and a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. This panel boasts a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 600 nits brightness. The device measures 7.9mm thick and weighs only 709 grams.
Likewise, it supports a detachable keyboard which is available in two options. There’s one with a kickstand design while another one is what Huawei calls a "rail slide" design. The latter is only available with the i7 variant and features backlit keys and a USB-C port.
Moreover, MateBook E also supports Huawei’s 2nd gen M-Pencil that magnetically attaches to the side—where it charges wirelessly too. The rear face of the device has a matte finish and is available in two color options: Starry Blue and Nebula Grey.
This laptop is available in two different processor configurations with either an Intel Core i5-1130G7 or i7-1160G7. The former is available with 8 or 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 1TB of SSD, whereas the latter is coupled with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
Furthermore, it has 8 layers of heat dissipation design with a shark fin fan and air vents to keep the device cool. Similarly, it boots on Windows 11 Home edition out of the box.
Fueling the device is a 42Wh battery which charges via a 65W USB-C adapter. As per Huawei, it juices 54% of battery in about half an hour while the complete charge takes 90 minutes.
Rest of the specs
As for the connectivity option, you get a Thunderbolt 4 port with Power Delivery and DisplayPort support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. For biometrics, there's a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button.
In terms of cameras, the MateBook E has an 8MP sensor on the front and a 13MP lens on the back. For audio, you get a quad-speaker setup.
