Infinix has launched its new entry-level phone, the Infinix Smart 20, in Nepal alongside the Infinix Hot 70. This new Smart 20 is the direct successor to the Infinix Smart 10 that we saw last year. With this new phone, Infinix is focusing on budget-friendly users who are looking for a decent-performing phone for social media scrolling and watching long-format content. Starting off, the Infinix Smart 20 has a 7.7 mm thickness, which is slimmer than the 8.3 mm of the Smart 10. It also opts for a horizontally placed rectangular camera island on the back of the panel. This new design looks similar to that of phones currently on the market, such as the Honor 600 Pro, Honor 600, and Tecno Spark 50 4G. This phone is available in “Shadow Black”, “Cloudline Blue”, “Polaris Titanium”, and “Sunlike Orange” finishes and is also IP64-rated.

Up front, it has an IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution, which we mostly see in entry-level phones, so it should deliver a decent viewing experience. The Smart 20 should also be smooth enough for everyday social media scrolling thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate. And it has a 700-nit HBM mode to ensure decent outdoor visibility when used in direct sunlight.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Infinix Smart 20 uses an entry-level MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate SoC built on a 12nm process and designed for everyday light work. Since this is the entry-level chip, you can expect a decent experience during everyday social media scrolling and content watching. However, this phone isn't for gaming, so consider other options like the Samsung Galaxy A07 and the Redmi 15 4G for casual gaming.

Memory-wise, it comes with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage. On the software front, Smart 20 runs XOS 16 based on Android 16, while Infinix does not disclose software updates for this phone.

Camera and Battery

For optics, the Infinix Smart 20 keeps things simple by using the same hardware we saw in last year's Infinix Smart 10. It features an 8MP f/2.0 sensor on both the front and back.
