Infinix Smart 5 Pro goes official with Unisoc chip and 6,000mAh battery

The Smart series has always been home to entry-level smartphones from Infinix. And now, the company has announced the arrival of the Smart 5 Pro. In this article, we will be looking at the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Infinix Smart 5 Pro in Nepal.

Design and Display

Infninx Smart 5 Pro sports a 6.52-inch LCD panel with an HD resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The phone has a waterdrop notch on top for the selfie camera and noticeable bezels around the screen. At the back, Infinix has gone with a dual-tone glossy finish. There are four colors to choose from: Black, Blue, Copper, and Green.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the phone packs an unspecified chipset with eight Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.6GHz. Similarly, the graphics are handled by PowerVR IMG8322. This makes us believe that the chipset that Infinix is hesitant to reveal is none other than Unisoc SC9863A (28nm). The chip is paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. You can even expand the storage by up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Camera

The square camera bump at the back of Infinix Smart 5 Pro encloses a dual-camera setup and a quad-LED flash. Even this dual-camera setup is gimmicky since Infinix has not disclosed the accompanying sensor to the 13MP main camera. That being said, the main sensor is capable of recording 2K videos at 30fps which is rare for a budget phone. As for selfies, Infinix has included an 8MP shooter with a fixed focus.

Backing the Infinix Smart 5 Pro is a massive 6,000mAh battery that charges at 10W. Yet, the phone still uses a micro-USB charging port. Moving on, it runs on Infinix's own XOS based on Android 11 (Go Edition).
