At CES 2023, Lenovo announced the latest laptop in its Yoga 9i series with the latest “Raptor Lake” P28 processors. You get 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM soldered onto the motherboard as well as the option to choose between 512GB and 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. This laptop is also part of the Intel Evo certification program, which promises a premium ultrabook experience with good battery life and rich connectivity options.
Battery and Connectivity
The laptop is fueled by a 75WHr battery with support for Rapid Charge boost. Lenovo claims up to 14 hours of local video playback, and it is also rated for 10 hours on MobileMark 2018 benchmark. Lenovo ships the Yoga 9i (2023) with a 100W USB-C charger which you can connect to in any of the three USB-C ports. Two of them even have support for Thunderbolt 4.0, along with DisplayPort and Power Delivery. In addition, the laptop has a USB Type-A port and an audio combo jack. Lenovo has included Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 modules for wireless connectivity.

Design and Display
Lenovo Yoga 9i (2023) is a 14-inch laptop with an all-aluminum CNC-milled chassis. It is also MIL-STD 810H certified, further strengthening the durability claim. You can choose between two color options—Storm Grey and Oatmeal. The laptop weighs around 1.4kg and ranges between 15.25mm and 16.5mm in thickness. It can lay flat thanks to the 360° hinge, which connects to the 90Hz OLED touchscreen.
Depending upon the region, Lenovo offers 4K and 2.8K versions with other specifications like DCI-P3 coverage, Dolby Vision, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certifications remaining the same. Lenovo also provides a Precision Pen 2 active stylus in the box.

Lenovo Yoga 9i (2023) is equipped with a 4-unit speaker setup consisting of two 2W tweeters and two 3W woofers. It is also Dolby Atmos compatible. The speaker units are placed above and on the side of the keyboard deck. It is a full-size keyboard with top-row function keys and four additional shortcuts to the right. The shortcuts let you toggle between performance modes, blur the camera background, and switch color profiles and dark modes. Talking about the camera, Lenovo has included a 2MP FHD camera with an IR sensor for Window Hello Face Unlock login. It is capable of 30fps video recording.
