OnePlus Nord CE 3 tipped to launch with Snapdragon 782G

The upcoming Nord CE 3 has been the subject of rumors for a while. Previous rumors about the smartphone suggested mediocre specifications that seemed pretty dubious. But new leaks paint a different picture about the CE 3. So, let’s take a look at the new leaks and rumors circulating about the OnePlus Nord CE 3.

Design, Display

The renders of the CE 3 reveal a completely new design for the OnePlus Nord lineup. The device has flat frames with two separate camera rings protruding from the back panel.

The flat edges remind us of the OnePlus X, which was the brand’s first entry into the midrange segment back in 2015. Luckily, it still has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.

Coming to the display, it has slim bezels on the top and the sides, but there’s a noticeable chin at the bottom. You’re likely to get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Performance

As for the performance, previous rumors of the device suggested Snapdragon 695 chip at the helm. But going through new leaks shared by MySmartPrice, the Nord CE 3 will come with a Snapdragon 782G chip. The latter is a successor to the widely popular Snapdragon 778G mobile silicon.

It is aided by 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. Software-wise, you can expect the latest version of Android-based Oxygen OS. Likewise, the smartphone will have a 5000mAh battery with support for 80W charging.

Camera

The camera department is also seeing a change, with the main camera now expected to have a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor rather than the 108MP suggested by previous rumors. It will be joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, the smartphone will house a 16MP camera on the hole-punch cutout.
