DJI RS 3 gimbal with axis-lock, OLED screen now available in Nepal

1

DJI, a well-known drone manufacturer, recently announced new gimbals for cinematographers under its “RS 3” series. And now, the base DJI RS 3 has made its way to Nepal as well. So, let’s walk through the specs, features, availability, and price of the DJI RS 3, and RS 3 Pro in Nepal.

DJI RS 3, RS 3 Pro Overview:

The RS 3 series gimbals are built on the company’s Ronin 4D camera, which was released last year. Both use a third-generation RS stabilization system that offers a 20% boost in performance, making difficult shots and angles simpler to execute.

DJI RS 3

The RS 3 is the smaller of the two newly released gimbals and is the successor to the RSC 2 from 2020. It weighs 1.3 kg and can carry up to 3 kg of payload, making it ideal for quick-response shots.

DJI RS 3

This is complemented by a newly built axis-locking technology that automatically releases and unfolds the gimbal when the device is turned on. It saves videographers time by eliminating the need to rebalance the arms between takes. It also comes with a Bluetooth shutter button to start recording wirelessly.

The SuperSmooth mode, on the other hand, adds extra stabilization when filming with up to 100mm of zoom lenses. Compared to its predecessor, the RS 3 also has a bigger 1.8-inch OLED touchscreen; allowing you to make necessary settings without the need to access its compatible app.

In addition, there’s a physical gimbal mode switch that makes toggling between FPV modes, pan follow, pan, and tilt follow comparatively easier. It is fed by a newly designed battery grip that delivers up to 12 hours of battery life; and is replaceable as necessary.

DJI RS 3 Pro

While sharing all of the features mentioned above including the 1.8-inch display, axis-lock technology, and more, the RS 3 Pro improves on the vanilla RS 3 in a few areas. It’s designed for individuals who have a bigger camera rig since it can accommodate up to 4.5kg of payload while only weighing 1.5kg.

DJI RS 3 Pro

Furthermore, it leverages the Ronin 4D’s LiDAR focusing technology to make working with manual lenses a bit easier. When paired with the improved focus motor, it is capable of enabling auto-focus on manual lenses. Similarly, DJI’s proprietary solutions, like as ActiveTrack Pro, keep the shots stable and in focus in more difficult settings by improving subject detection and tracking.

Check out the latest price of DJI Mini 3 Pro in Nepal

2

DJI announced the Mini 3 Pro about a week ago, which is the company’s latest iteration of a mini drone. This guy brings a larger camera sensor, 4K 30fps recording, advanced obstacle avoidance, and more. And good news—you can already buy it in Nepal. So here, we will discuss the key specs, price, and availability of DJI Mini 3 Pro in Nepal.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Overview:

Camera Sensor

With the Mini 3 Pro, DJI has switched to a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor compared to the ½ sensor on its predecessor. The new sensor also has a new aperture of f/1.7. This new camera setup now allows the Mini 3 Pro to shoot 4K videos up to 60 fps. Likewise, 4K HDR videos cap out at 30 fps.

Furthermore, DJI Mini 3 Pro also allows shooting with D-Cinelike color profile – something that was missing on the Mini 2. The flatter color profile gives editors more information and data to work with.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Design

Another neat addition is the support for True Vertical Shooting. DJI Mini 30 Pro’s gimbal can rotate 90-degrees to allow portrait recording. DJI says that users will be able to switch between landscape and portrait orientation in an instant and that the new feature will give detailed social media-ready content.

Obstacle Avoidance

DJI Mini 3 Pro is the first “Mini” drone to feature DJI’s Tri-Directional Obstacle Sensing. The sensors are forward, backward and downward sensing.

These sensors allow DJI Mini 3 Pro features like APAS 4.0 for auto flight mode and FocusTrack suite to intelligently lock a subject to the center of the frame. On a side note, it is also the first drone in the Mini lineup to have both these features.

Battery and Flight Time

DJI Mini 3 pro Batteries

DJI is offering the DJI Mini 3 Pro with two battery options. First, you have the standard Intelligent Flight Battery that promises a maximum flight time of 34 minutes. Then there is the new Flight Battery Plus that can keep the Mini 3 Pro in the air for up to 47 minutes.

Remote Controllers

DJI has also introduced DJI RC to go with the Mini 3 Pro. The new remote control is equipped with a 5.5-inch touchscreen and has DJI Fly integration. But if you already have the RC-N1 controller of the Mini 2, Air 2, or Air 2S, then you might not need the DJI RC.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Price in Nepal Remote Controllers

Even with all these new features, DJI has managed to keep the weight of the Mini 3 Pro under 250 grams, with the standard battery, that is. Thus, users can use it without registering it in the US and many other regions. As for accessories, DJI sells “Fly More Kit” and “Fly More Kit Plus” for this drone. These include:

Fly More Kit Fly More Kit Plus
2x Intelligent Flight Batteries
– 34 minutes max flight time
2x Intelligent Flight Batteries Plus
– 47 minutes max flight time
1x two-way charging hub
2x propellers (pairs)
12x screws
1x shoulder bag
1x USB 3.0 Type-C cable

DJI’s Mavic 3 Pro Price in Nepal 2025 [Updated]

2

DJI recently released the “Pro” version of their Mavic 3 drone, and it’s officially available in Nepal. This is definitely a “Pro” that you’ll want to get your hands on, as it comes equipped with three optical cameras – a first for any DJI drone. There’s plenty more to talk about it, so let’s get into the specifics of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro in detail, along with its official price in Nepal.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Overview:

Triple Cameras

As mentioned earlier, the Mavic 3 Pro is the first DJI drone to feature three cameras. The main camera remains the same as the Mavic 3, with a 20MP 24mm 4/3-inch CMOS sensor with Hasselblad tuning.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cameras

It allows you to capture 12-bit RAW photos with a native dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops, and record video at up to 5.1K at 50fps or DCI 4K at 120fps. The Mavic 3 Pro also features a new 10-bit D-Log M color mode.

With this, you can record videos with up to one billion colors (10-bit) and natural color gradations even in high-contrast scenarios, like sunrises and sunsets. As a result, DJI says the D-Log M mode reduces the difficulty of color grading for editors.

Additionally, the telephoto camera with a 1/2″ sensor and a 15° field of view (FoV) remains unchanged too. But DJI has made some modifications here. The focal length has been slightly increased from 162mm to 166mm, and the aperture has been widened from f/4.4 to f/3.4. The telephoto camera can now also record 4K@60fps videos.

Moreover, the Mavic 3 Pro now boasts a new “medium-tele” camera with a 70mm lens. It’s a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor with 3x optical zoom that allows you to shoot 48/12MP photos, 4K/60fps video, and the new D-log M.

Mavic 3 Pro “Cine”

Meanwhile, for those who want even more advanced video capabilities, such as shooting RAW videos, you can opt for the Mavic 3 Pro Cine. This variant enables you to record in Apple ProRes (422 HQ, 422, and 422 LT) encoding from all three cameras. And it also has 1TB of internal storage to handle that footage.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine

Interestingly, it’s a few grams heavier than the standard Pro, weighing in at 963 grams compared to 958 grams. But for the most part, the Cine variant shares the same features as the Mavic 3 Pro.

Battery

Moving on, the drone offers a flight time of up to 43 minutes. Although it’s 3 minutes less than the Mavic 3, this reduction in flight time is worth it given all the upgrades that come with the Pro variant. But if you are using DJI’s APAS 5.0 obstacle avoidance technology while shooting videos, the flight time may be even shorter.

Others

Apart from this, the Mavic 3 Pro has many of the same features as the Mavic 3. It still utilizes DJI’s “OccuSync” O3+ technology for 1080p/60 live feed transmission to the DJI RC controller. And DJI’s video editing app, LightCut, provides robust shooting and editing capabilities.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Controller

You can preview footage without exporting it, and the AI-based One-Tap Edit feature enables intuitive editing. Additionally, the Mavic 3 Pro comes with DJI’s full suite of “intelligent” modes, including FocusTrack, MasterShots, QuickShots, and Panorama.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Specifications:

DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro launched in Nepal

DJI has introduced its latest action camera, the Osmo Action 5 Pro, which aims to compete with GoPro’s newest Hero 13 Black in Nepal. The new camera brings several upgrades, including a 13.5-stop dynamic range and up to 4 hours of battery life. In this article, we will discuss everything about the latest DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, its price in Nepal, and its specifications.

DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Overview

    Performance and Storage

The Osmo Action 5 Pro is equipped with a 1/1.3″ sensor and a 2.4 μm pixel size. It can shoot 4K video at 60fps, even in low-light conditions. Additionally, the camera features a SuperNight mode that uses AI noise reduction to capture clearer footage in dark environments.

    DJI Action 5 Pro Design

The camera includes 47GB of built-in storage and supports high-speed data transfers of up to 80MB/s via Wi-Fi 6 or USB 3.0. Additionally, it offers Wi-Fi livestreaming support and Timecode functionality for syncing footage from multiple cameras. Other features, such as pre-rec and Highlight marking, are designed to simplify video editing.

    Battery Life

Powered by a 1,950 mAh battery, the Action 5 Pro offers up to 4 hours of recording time, well above the industry average of 2 hours. Even in extreme cold temperatures as low as -20°C, the camera can record for up to 3.6 hours. Furthermore, using DJI’s 30W USB-C charger, a 15-minute charge can provide up to 2 hours of recording time.

    Additional Features

The Action 5 Pro can be used underwater up to 20 meters deep without needing a case. It includes a built-in color temperature sensor to capture more accurate colors underwater. In addition, it can automatically start recording when submerged and stop after surfacing. A pressure gauge monitors underwater depth and duration for added safety.
