Samsung just announced its thinnest F-series phone yet!

Samsung has just unveiled its slimmest phone in the F-series yet, under the name the Galaxy F56. It’s only 7.2mm thick and packs a punch with several top-tier features, including a camera that feels almost flagship-level. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at what the Samsung Galaxy F56 offers, including its features to its expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

To begin with, the biggest buzz is around its slim design. The Samsung Galaxy F56 comes with a thickness of just 7.2mm, giving it a very sleek look and feel. The phone measures 162.0 x 77.3 x 7.2mm and weighs only 180 grams, making it both lightweight and easy to hold. Plus, it features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back, which not only looks good but also adds toughness. You can grab this phone in two eye-catching Green and Violet colors.

Lenovo’s 9i comes with 18-inch display that switch between 2D and 3D viewing

Lenovo has announced its new 10th-generation Legion 9i gaming laptop, which comes with a massive 18-inch display and includes almost every high-end feature a gamer or creator could want today. One standout feature is its switchable screen. Yes, you can flip between 2D and 3D modes, and it also runs on Intel’s powerful Core Ultra 9 295HX CPU. In this article, we will discuss everything we know about the Lenovo Legion 9i, including its specifications and expected price in Nepal.

Lenovo Legion 9i Overview

Best display so far?

The Legion 9i brings a large 18-inch display that can switch between 2D and 3D viewing. In 2D mode, you can get crisp 4K resolution (3840 x 2400) with a refresh rate up to 240Hz. There’s also a 1920 x 1080 mode that jumps the refresh rate up to an impressive 440Hz. In 3D mode, you don’t need any glasses because it uses eye-tracking and a lenticular lens to create a 3D effect that you can see directly.

Lenovo says this design is perfect for developers, 3D artists, and gamers who want a more lifelike experience. Their software already supports around 30 games in 3D, though they haven’t shared the full list just yet.

That’s a combo that should fly through any task, especially gaming and 3D design. If you need a lot of space and memory, this laptop goes up to 192GB of RAM (which is wild for a laptop) and 8TB SSD storage.

Also, Lenovo made it flexible: you get four RAM slots and four SSD slots, all user-accessible, so upgrading later is super easy. The base version includes a standard 4K screen without 3D, but Lenovo clearly wants users to have choices with this upgrade-ready design.

In terms of connectivity, you will get two Thunderbolt 5 ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports (three Type-A, one Type-C), HDMI 2.1, a full-size SD card slot, an Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. The 2D model comes with a 5MP f/2 webcam, while the 3D version includes a faster f/1.6 lens.

Both cameras include a privacy switch for security. The laptop’s lid uses eight layers of carbon fiber, which Lenovo says is both stronger and lighter than aluminum. What’s really interesting is that every laptop has a slightly different carbon fiber pattern, so no two look exactly alike.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE review: Is it worth it?

In this review, I’m gonna be discussing everything you need to know about the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE. Now, if you look at the tablet market, Samsung was actually the number 1 tablet brand in India in 2024. The reason for that is:

Samsung’s brand value.
They have the best retail presence, and
They are quite aggressive during online sales!

And this year, like the Galaxy Tab S9 FE (review), the Tab S10 FE also looks like a decent tablet for the price! We get a brand new chipset powering it, it is lighter than before, and we get a stylus in the box itself. That being said, there are a couple of things that I desperately wanted Samsung to improve. Which, unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE review:

Design and build

But before I jump into all that, first let me talk about the positives! And I really like how Samsung has somehow brought down the weight of the Tab S10 FE. That too, without making many changes to the build quality. You still get an all-metal build with metal frames while having the same 8000 mAh battery capacity as last year!

As a result, holding this tablet is not as much of a muscle exercise compared to the Tab S9 FE. In fact, the rounded edges and proportionate weight distribution make it a comfortable tablet to hold.

But what I absolutely love about its build is 3 things actually,

Number 1: You get an official IP68 dust and water rating. Which is something no other tablet provides at this price range. Like you can “accidentally” spill water or tea on it, and the tablet will still be intact. It’s just such a nice quality of life feature to have!

Number 2: You get a fingerprint sensor here, which is more secure than just pins and patterns on most Android tablets. Plus, it’s also more convenient.

And number 3: Samsung includes a stylus in the box itself. It’s not their “Pro” version with Bluetooth; you get the regular version here that does not support Air gestures. But I appreciate that you don’t have to buy it separately or look for a third-party option.

And this is a perfectly workable Stylus for notetaking, drawing, and stuff. It’s really comfortable to hold, there isn’t much delay, and it sticks magnetically on the side, so you don’t have to worry about storing it separately. Although I do wish that the magnets were a bit stronger.

One of the other positives about this tablet is that it has good battery life. I was able to get an easy 8 hours of screen-on time from this thing, which is almost the same as I got with the Xiaomi Pad 7 (review) and the iPad 11th Gen (review).

Software

Next up is the software! And here, the Tab S10 FE is one of the first Samsung tablets to get the One UI 7, and Samsung’s software experience on a tablet is just fantastic!

They have optimized it for larger screens really well. From being able to just drag and drop apps for splitscreen, to fitting 3 apps simultaneously for multitasking + an extra floating window, to the easy accessibility of the task bar, to S Pen features like scribble to text are really useful.

I do wish we could save app pairs on the homescreen like we can on the Xiaomi Pad, since you can only pair it in the multitasking tray here.

But let’s not forget that this tablet will receive a total of 7 years of updates. So we likely might get new features every year.

And they also have their own ecosystem thing going on, like Apple. So, if you have multiple Samsung devices, you can take advantage of them with features like app continuity. For example, there is this feature called “Auto Switch,” which lets you pick up the call you get on your phone right on the tablet.

I am someone who is hooked on the Apple ecosystem, but switching to the Samsung one was actually a seamless experience. So that’s nice too!

Display

Okay, now let’s talk about the things that I wish Samsung had done better here. The first of which has to be the refresh rate.

I mean, the 90Hz refresh rate on this tablet isn’t as bad as 60Hz on the iPad 11th Gen, but upgrading to at least 120Hz would have made the experience so much smoother. Especially on a bigger screen.

But considering the price, the LCD screen on the Tab S10 FE is quite nice and bright. It’s very responsive, too, although an AMOLED screen would have given Samsung a competitive edge. And also, the viewing angles, contrast, and black levels would have been better.

Likewise, I was also expecting some sort of display protection this time to at least protect the screen on the S10 FE from scratches and oleophobic coating to prevent smudges (like the iPad), but that’s not the case either.

At least the speakers are quite nice

The Tab S10 FE has a nice set of stereo speakers, though. They sound balanced enough for a good multimedia experience. But then again, if I have to compare, Xiaomi Pad 7’s quad speakers sound fuller and a bit louder.

Performance

Anyway, I think the biggest complaint I have with the Tab S10 FE is its performance. It is powered by the Exynos 1580 chip — yes, the same one we get on the Galaxy A56 (review) — and while this chipset performs relatively better on the A56, it feels much, much slower on this tablet.

As a result, app opening takes half a second, there’s a slight lag when you reach for the multitasking tray time and often. Especially if you have multiple apps open in split screen at the same time, and you try to write something with the S Pen. There is a noticeable delay there.

And of course, this chipset is not something that can handle gaming very well. First of all, Samsung is yet to optimize the Exynos 1580 for 60 fps gaming on PUBG; right now, the max you can get is 30 fps. And second, even at 30 fps, the gameplay feels jittery.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that this tablet is painfully slow and unusable. ‘Cause for normal tasks like browsing the internet, watching videos, or taking video calls, it is good enough. Even light games like Clash of Clans, Subway Surfers, and all feel smooth here.

It’s just that when you compare the Tab S10 FE with something like the iPad 11th Gen with the A16 chip or the Xiaomi Pad 7 with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 side by side, Samsung’s tablet feels slower and weaker. Whether it’s benchmarks, gaming, or anything heavy-duty!

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE review: Conclusion

So, to wrap up this review of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE, I feel like the biggest strength Samsung has is in terms of the software experience! One UI 7 is clean, easy to use, and it also has some useful AI features like “Circle to Search” and “Object eraser”. There are also some fun tricks in their notes app that students can take advantage of, by the way.

Then there are all those ecosystem benefits I talked about before.

However, performance still remains the biggest hurdle for me to recommend this tablet to a power user. So, if you are an absolute casual user who does nothing more than watching YouTube videos, taking video calls, taking notes, and browsing the internet, and you use a Samsung phone and want a Samsung tablet, it makes sense to get this.

Otherwise, if you are looking for better value and better specs — for me — the Xiaomi Pad 7 or the iPad 11th gen are better and cheaper options.

Microsoft announces Surface Laptop 13 with Snapdragon X Plus processor

Yesterday, Microsoft announced two new entries to its “Surface” family of products. We have already covered the Surface Pro 12 tablet in a separate article, so this one is going to be all about the new 13-inch Surface laptop. Without further ado, let’s dive into the specs, features, and expected price in Nepal of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 13.

Microsoft Surface Laptop 13 Overview

Design and build

Starting with the design, it’s clear that Microsoft had portability in mind when designing this laptop. That’s because the Surface Laptop 13 joins the Surface Laptop 13.8 and the Surface Laptop 15, both with a bigger chassis.

And even though it has a premium all-aluminum exterior, this laptop weighs just 1.22 kg. As always, Microsoft ships its Surface laptop in a bunch of attractive color options as well. In terms of ports, you’re looking at a couple of USB 3.2 Type-C ports on the right (both capable of charging, data transfer, and with DisplayPort 1.4a support). While there’s a USB 3.1 Type-A and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left.

Display

Getting to the display, the Surface Laptop 13 brings a 13-inch touchscreen with a 1920 x 1280p resolution. This display refreshes at 60Hz, has a 3:2 aspect ratio, and up to 400 nits of maximum brightness. And at the top bezel, you’ll find a 1080p Surface Studio camera for video calls and stuff. This has also been complemented by dual Studio Mics with enhanced voice focus, alongside Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

But the one thing you need to know is that only the larger 13.8 and 15-inch Surface Laptops have “Windows Hello” face authentication. Meaning this guy has fingerprint-based Windows Hello authentication embedded in the power button.

Performance

As for performance, the Surface Laptop 13 is powered by a Snapdragon X Plus chip with an 8-core CPU. This processor also includes Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU with up to 45 TOPS of performance for all of those on-device AI works. Like “Recall”. Memory-wise, it has 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, which isn’t user-upgradable. And it’s unclear if its 256/512GB of UFS storage is upgradable either.

Battery and others

Anyway, Microsoft hasn’t revealed the exact battery capacity of this laptop. But the company does say that it can last up to 23 hours under local video playback. Which is actually higher than what you get on both the 13.8 and 15-inch models. It supports 60W charging via either of those USB-C ports, whereas Microsoft hasn’t compromised in terms of wireless connectivity on the Surface Laptop 13. Thanks to its Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

Pixel 9A review: Why so much hate?

So, today let’s talk about one of the most hated phones after the iPhone 16e – the Pixel 9A. I got this phone from Flipkart a couple of weeks ago for Rs. 50,000 and at this price, yes it does feel like Google could have done better with the pricing. Maybe they could have matched the US price, but if you look at Pixel’s history in India, it will definitely get some discount in a month or two.

So, I think this phone doesn’t deserve that much hate, as some of my fellow reviewers have said in their video. I think Pixel 9a, when it’s available under INR 45,000, is a great choice if you want a phone that performs well across all categories. It’s also arguably the best camera phone under ₹50,000 right now!

Google Pixel 9a Review

Camera

Yes, I did miss the 3X or 5X zoom lens here, something like Nothing Phone 3(a) Pro that costs 30,000 rupees has one, and that 3X telephoto camera in there is exceptional for the price!

But the main camera, the main camera of the Pixel 9a is seriously impressive — it captures super sharp photos, details could be better, but the overall output is so natural with true-to-life colours. It’s just one of those cameras you can count on to deliver great shots every single time.

Night time

Even during low light, I found the Pixel 9A doing really well.

I also like the 2X Portraits here. Just look at these samples. The skin tone is naturally preserved – it has good details, and nice blur, so yeah the portraits are super clean and accurate!

Selfie

I’m also a fan of the selfies from this phone. Again you get nice details and a natural skin tone!

Ultrawide

Even the Ultrawide camera is pretty good here. Much better than something like we get on the OnePlus 13R, VIVO V50, or Galaxy A56. Just look at the colour consistency between the main and ultra-wide lenses. That said, you’ll notice some softness around the edges, and the overall quality, dynamic range and consistency take a bit of a hit if I am clicking the photos in say direct sunlight or during low-light situations, like this photo of a Krishna temple.

Videography-wise too, this takes better footage than phones like the OnePlus 13R and Galaxy A56. The stabilisation is nice, dynamic range is nicely preserved, although at times footage could come out a little soft if there is less light.

The Ultra-wide camera can also click up to 4K 30fps and just like photos, the colour consistency you get when switching from main to Ultra-wide is superb. Although the overall quality of Ultra-wide videos is nothing to write home about – it does have some noise and soft quality around the edges.

Ok..So, Camera-wise, as expected from a Google phone, the Pixel 9A gets a solid A, but other aspects of the Pixel 9A are also not so bad.

Design and Display

Design

First off, I really like this handy compact design! It has a very good feel to it, it’s not very heavy, and there’s an official IP68 dust and water resistance too. But what I love about this design is there’s no camera bump – which is just so rare to see on Phones in 2025!

However, Pixel has cheaped out on 3 things. No.1 It has a plastic back, No. 2 we get a super old GG3 protection for the display which as you can see has already resulted in some scratches and No.3 look at the bezels on the display! So, if you are buying the Pixel 9A, the first thing you gotta do is apply a screen protector and get a nice back cover.

Anyway, if you ignore these bezels, the display quality of the Pixel 9A is quite nice. First off, we get a very bright OLED screen, so even when I was using this phone out, it actually is more visible than some of the flagship phones you can buy in 2025. It’s that bright.

Plus, it can also get really dim. So, watching IPL or the Champions League game late nighthas been a beautiful experience. Plus, that Yamal goal – that was also a beautiful experience.

Display

What I also like about the Pixel phone’s display is the touch response is really really good. It is very responsive. The haptics is also almost flagship-like and we get an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor – something we don’t see on a phone at this price range. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor means the position is located at a perfect place for unlocking the phone and it works when my hands are wet as well.

Audio and Speaker

I also like the speakers here. It’s loud with a nice mid, clear mid-frequency – so overall a nice experience while watching videos. BTW, there is also HDR playback support on OTT platforms. There’s no Dolby Vision though, but HDR works well here. There was an issue on Netflix about a week ago, but after updating the Netflix app, HDR-mastered videos work well now.

I am also getting great battery life from the Pixel 9A. Look at these screenshots of the battery backup. I was easily getting 8 to 9 hours of SOT – which means easy 1-1.5 days battery backup for most users.

The only thing I didn’t like here is the charging speed. Even with my 65W GAN charger, it takes more than 1.5 hours to get fully charged. And there’s no wireless charging as well.

Another thing where you don’t get a good experience is while gaming. Because the Tensor G4 chip here made by Samsung is not good for gaming. You can only be able to play games like PubG and Mobile Legends at 60fps and it does tend to get warm on the back after like 10-15 minutes. So, the Pixel 9A is clearly not meant for gaming. For that, you can go with phones like OnePlus 13R or the upcoming Poco F7.

But what’s important to know is for normal, everyday usage, the Pixel 9A actually does a much better job than the Galaxy A56 or the VIVO V50. The overall UI feels smooth, and the Pixel experience is clean and well designed as well. Plus, you are going to get 7 years of updates, up to Android 22, which means after 2 or 3 years, you can pass it on to your mom or your little brother and it will still be rocking the latest OS.

Google Pixel 9a Review Conclusion

So, yeah, the Pixel 9A is not a bad phone if you look at how well it does in each aspect. We get a solid A in things like camera, battery life, display quality, speakers, and haptics. And we get a solid A+ in terms of the software with all the AI features, and long years of OS updates. Even when it comes to the performance and the build quality, it’s a decent B+.

Yes, the pricing could have been better since Pixel phones are now made in India! But overall, this is a genuinely good phone that doesn’t deserve the hate. And if you look at the history of Pixel phones, prices are likely to drop in the coming months, and when they do, that’ll be the perfect time to pick this one up.

Moto G56 5G will launch soon but we might not get one!

Alongside the Motorola G86 5G, the company is also getting ready to update its budget-friendly lineup with the Moto G56 5G. This new model will replace the Moto G55 5G and will bring several noticeable upgrades. Even though the phone hasn’t been officially revealed yet, a big leak has already shown us most of its features and design changes. Let’s look at Moto G56 5G rumor.

Moto G56 5G Rumor Overview

Design and Display

The Moto G56 5G is set to feature a new design, with a more rounded square camera module on the back instead of the G55’s rectangular one. The phone is a bit heavier now, with 200 grams compared to the earlier 182 grams. Moreover, it comes with dimensions of 165.75 x 76.26 x 8.35mm.

At the front, the phone likely carries a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution (2400×1080 pixels). Motorola has probably chosen a 120Hz refresh rate here for smooth scrolling, which is great to see in this range. The screen can also reach up to 1000 nits of brightness, making it easier to use outdoors. Plus, this handset will come with Gorilla Glass 7i for protection from scratches and drops. On top of that, it is rated IP69 for dust and water resistance, which is surprisingly good for this segment.

Performance and Battery

Inside, the Moto G56 5G runs on a new, still-unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chip built on a 6nm process. It includes two Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.6GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz. There’s also an IMG BXM-8-256 on the GPU side. Furthermore, the phone could come with 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Thankfully, users can expand storage up to 2TB with a microSD card through a hybrid SIM slot.

On the software end, it may run Android 15 with Motorola’s Hello UI on top. As for the battery, it is likely to come with a 5200mAh cell, which is larger than before. It supports 33W fast wired charging as well.

On the back, the Moto G56 might carry a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It’s exciting to see Motorola focus on camera hardware, even in mid-range phones. On the front, there’s reportedly a big upgrade to a 32MP selfie camera, which should make selfies and video calls much clearer.

Realme has introduced a groundbreaking concept smartphone featuring an enormous 10,000mAh battery.
