Lenovo Legion 5 (2023) Overview
Design and Display
The 2023 edition of Lenovo Legion 5 features a plastic body with an aluminium lid. There’s a “Legion” branding on the top left corner of the laptop’s lid and a “Lenovo” branding on the bottom right. The laptop comes in a single Storm Grey colour option.
Upfront, you’re getting a 15.6″ IPS LCD panel with an anti-glare coating on top. Likewise, the Lenovo Legion 5 (2023) offers a WQHD resolution spanning 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It offers a peak brightness of 350 nits, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, and a 100% sRGB colour gamut. Lastly, it does not have touchscreen support.
Performance
In terms of performance, this gaming laptop brings an AMD + NVIDIA combo. This Lenovo Legion 5 (2023) ships with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU. The CPU is an octa-core architecture with a maximum frequency of 4.75GHz. Meanwhile, the discrete graphics card comes with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM and a 2,370 MHz boost clock.
As for memory and storage, you can install up to 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 1TB M.2 2280 SSD here. In this particular model, you are getting the maximum amount of memory i.e. 16GB while you have to make do with 512GB of storage. You are getting an extra SSD slot with the Lenovo Legion 5 (2023), so you can easily bump your storage whenever you need it!

Moving on, this gaming laptop features a 6-row keyboard with a numeric keypad. The keyboard also features a white backlight. The port selections on the Lenovo Legion 5 (2023) include three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (support data transfer and DisplayPort 1.4), one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (supports data transfer, Power Delivery 135W and DisplayPort 1.4), one HDMI 2.1, one RJ45, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
When it comes to battery, this gaming laptop has been paired with a 60-Wh battery and 230W AC adapter. For wireless connectivity, this Lenovo Legion 5 (2023) with Ryzen 7 7735HS and RTX 4060 comes with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1.
