Design and Display

For its “F” series of smartphones, POCO has been rebranding its sister company Xiaomi’s products for quite some time now. And the F5 Pro is no exception as it is simply Redmi K60 with a different name. As such, it has a glass sandwich body with aluminum frames—while the phone is IP53 dust/splash resistant too.

Moving on, POCO F5 Pro is the first phone from the company with a QHD display. And besides the resolution itself, this 6.67″ AMOLED panel has 12-bit color depth, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support as well. It is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5.

Performance

Performance-wise, POCO has gone with an underclocked version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip here. And complementing this is 8/12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 for POCO out-of-the-box, whereas it also has 2 more OS and 3 years of security updates in the cards. In terms of cooling, POCO F5 Pro has a large 5000mm² area LiquidCool vapor chamber system, which is said to improve heat conductivity by 15%. The phone brings POCO’s “FEAS 2.2” feature for an even smoother gaming experience.

Cameras

When it comes to cameras, POCO F5 Pro has a 64MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. This is essentially the same camera setup as the regular POCO F5. But unlike its non-Pro sibling, this guy can also shoot 4K 60 fps—or even 8K 24 fps videos.

Rest of the specs

POCO F5 Pro gets its juice from a big 5160mAh battery. Apart from 67W wired charging, it can also juice up wirelessly at up to 30W. By the way, that makes this the first POCO phone with wireless charging support. For biometrics, it has an in-display optical fingerprint reader.
