Design, Display

Starting with the design, the Samsung BU8000 keeps the AirSlim design of its predecessor. As a result, it measures just 26mm thin. The front of the TV features 3-sided narrow bezels, and the back has dedicated built-in cable management to eliminate clutters from wires and such.

Moving on, the TV comes in a variety of display sizes, ranging from 48 to 83 inches, however only the 75-inch model is currently available in Nepal. Anyways, as aforementioned, this is a UHD resolution TV with support for HDR, HDR 10+, and HLG standards. It also supports ALLM (Auto Low-Latency Mode), which automatically sets the optimal latency setting for a smooth, lag-free gaming experience.

Performance

In terms of performance, the BU8000 is driven by the Crystal Processor 4K, which was also present in the last year’s AU8000 series. Likewise, the TV boots on the company’s in-house Tizen OS. Being a Samsung-made OS, it supports Bixby voice assistant along with Alexa and Google Assistant.

Audio

The BU8000 series has a 2-channel 20W bottom-firing speaker with Dolby Digital Plus compatibility. It also supports Q-Symphony sound, which synchronizes sound from your TV with a compatible Samsung Q-Series home theatre speaker for a fully immersive surround sound experience.

Furthermore, the TV supports a feature known as Object Tracking Sound (OTS). OTS analyzes the movement of objects on the screen and broadcasts sound in the same direction as the object.

Others

Besides this, the port options include three HDMI, two USBs, one Digital Audio Out, one RF In, and one Ethernet port.  Among the three HDMI ports, one also supports eARC for connecting compatible soundbar. Likewise, the wireless connectivity option includes WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2.
