Samsung’s entry-level phone made its appearance on FCC listing and Geekbench a little while ago. Now the company’s little more premium offering also says hello. Let’s take a look at all that we know of Samsung Galaxy A16 4G so far!

Samsung Galaxy A16 Rumours Round-up

IMEI Listing

While the overall information about the phone still remains scarce, different sources have spotted the phone on the IMEI database. From this, what we can figure out is the latest entry in the Samsung A10 series will continue to have two different cellular variations.

Previously, Android Headlines spotted the 5G variant of Samsung Galaxy A16 carrying the model number “SM-A166B/DS”. Likewise, Gizomochina spotted a 4G variant of the phone too. This one has the model number “SM-A165F/DS”. These devices made into the records a month apart from one another.

What’s up?

As of now, only the model numbers of these phones are available. So, we will have to speculate on the specs of the Samsung Galaxy A16. Aesthetically, I don’t think anything will change. The company is now fixated on its “Galaxy Design” for all of its offerings, so that’s what we are getting. Last time, Samsung introduced “Key Island”, which we can expect to stick around.

Talking of the performance, both the Samsung Galaxy A15 packed a MediaTek processor as its primary driver. The 4G variant packed a Helio G99 while the 5G one came with Dimensity 6100+. Given that, we can expect the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A16s to have a refreshed variant of these chips. MediaTek Helio G99 Ultra or Ultimate for the 4G and Dimensity 6300 for the 5G, perhaps? Other than that, the rest of the specs will likely remain unchanged.

Samsung Galaxy A16 Launch and Availability

It is still way too early to tell anything definitely about the Samsung Galaxy A16 as of now. However, we can expect it to launch near the end of 2024 as its predecessor did the same. Additionally, we will likely see it launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy A26.
