According to the listing, the Galaxy A16 5G will become two different chipsets for different regions. The Exynos 1330 will power the European one, while, the Dimensity 6300 will power the South Asian ones. Similarly, as for the A16 4G, we’ll see the same old Mediatek Helio G99. What else?
Now the renders have leaked, we can say there are virtually no changes on this phone aesthetically. Samsung is now fixated on its “Galaxy Design” for all of its offerings, so that’s what we are getting. The company introduced this “Key Island” thingy with the A15 and A25, which has now become a symbol of the A-series phone. This protrusion of buttons has stuck around this year as well.
Other than that, the listing suggests that these phones will come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen stretching FHD+ while offering a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness. Lastly, doing what Samsung does best, it is pushing six whole years of updates on the Galaxy A16 as well. Under the hood, both of these versions will feature a 5000 mAh battery with a 25W charger.
Samsung Galaxy A16 Launch and Availability
It is still way too early to say anything about the Samsung Galaxy A16. However, we can expect it to launch near the end of 2024 as its predecessor did the same. Additionally, we will likely see it launch alongside the Samsung Galaxy A26.
