Alongside the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra (review), Samsung also teased its ambitiously slim phone — the Galaxy S25 Edge — earlier this year. And while we were pretty much left to hunt for leaks and rumors for any more details about it, that is all about to end next week. When Samsung is set to finally, officially launch the much-anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Overview
Design
The S25 Edge is designed to offer a slimmer, more compact form factor without compromising on camera quality. Samsung has integrated its Advanced Lens on Plastic (ALoP) technology to reduce the thickness of the camera module, ensuring it remains slim while still providing excellent optical performance. Courtesy of The Verge, we have the photographs of the S25 Edge.

And while there are conflicting rumors about how thin it measures, with some claiming “6.4 mm” and some claiming “5.85 mm” of thickness, the Galaxy S25 Edge will certainly be slimmer than most mainstream phones these days.
Up front, it features a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. And there are ultra-thin bezels around it. Additionally, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and titanium frames to help reduce the weight. On that note, rumors suggest that this phone will weigh around 163 grams only!
Camera specifications
In terms of cameras, Samsung has also confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will boast a 200MP main shooter with OIS. Just like the S25 Ultra! This will be followed by a 12MP ultrawide and a 12MP selfie camera, which means there’s no telephoto lens for this guy.
Galaxy S25 Edge will rock the 8 Elite too!
As for performance, this slim guy will be powered by the “Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy” chip, like the rest of the Galaxy S25 series. We also expect it to feature a more compact vapour chamber cooling system.
As for memory, it is expected to offer 8GB or 12GB of RAM, along with storage options ranging from 128GB to 512 GB. The device will run on Android 15 with One UI 7.0, providing a smooth and customizable user experience.
Battery and Charging
Samsung is expected to equip the S25 Edge with a 3,900 mAh battery, with the support of claimed 25W fast charging. Additionally, the device will feature 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging for added convenience.

Connectivity and Extras
The Galaxy S25 Edge will support 5G for faster download and upload speeds, along with Wi-Fi 7. For security, it will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the device will feature “Pro Scaler” support, which is an advanced AI-driven image processing technology that enhances display scaling by 40%.
Other expected notable features of the Galaxy S25 Edge include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, stereo speakers tuned by AKG, and Samsung DeX support, allowing users to use the phone as a desktop experience when connected to a larger screen. The device will also feature USB Type-C 3.2 Gen1 for charging and data transfer.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launch Date and Availability
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be officially announced on May 13 at 9 AM Korean time (5:45 AM Nepal Time). Some leaks revealed that its price could start at USD 1,200, although we won’t be surprised if that actually matches its official price, considering the premiumness of this phone.
