Vivo has added a new battery-focused smartphone to its lineup with the Vivo S2 FE. The phone stands out with a massive 10,000mAh battery while also bringing a 1.5K AMOLED display, a 50MP Sony main camera, and IP68/IP69 protection. It also runs on Android 16-based OriginOS 6 and comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset. In this article, I will discuss this phone in detail, including the expected vivo S2 FE price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Vivo S2 FE Overview

Design and Display

Starting off with the design, the Vivo S2 FE has a fairly clean look despite packing a massive 10,000mAh battery. Here you can choose between “Stellar Green”, “Zen White”, and “Titan Black” finishes. The phone is around 8.6mm thick and weighs roughly 224–225 grams. So, it is definitely on the heavier side, but considering the battery capacity, the thickness is quite reasonable.

Moving on, the phone features a Floating Crystal camera module on the back. It also comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Vivo has further added several durability protections, including MIL-STD testing against conditions such as temperature changes, rain, sand, dust, and shock. This should give you some extra peace of mind if you are using the phone outdoors or in less-than-ideal conditions.

Up front, the S2 FE gets a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution of 2800 × 1260 pixels. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which in my experience makes scrolling through social media and moving around the UI feel noticeably smoother. The panel also supports HDR10+ and P3 wide color gamut, so you can expect punchier colors and better contrast when watching supported content. Meanwhile, the display can reach up to 2,000 nits of HBM brightness, which should come in handy when using the phone outdoors under bright sunlight.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Vivo S2 FE is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset. For everyday use, this should be more than enough for things like social media, browsing, streaming, and multitasking. The Dimensity 7300e is not aimed at flagship-level performance, but it should offer a good balance between performance and power efficiency. The phone also gets a 3,800mm² vapor chamber cooling system, which should help keep temperatures in check during longer gaming sessions or heavy use.

Memory-wise, it comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. There is also support for extended RAM, which uses some of the available storage to keep more apps running in the background. On the software front, the Vivo S2 FE runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6. You also get Origin Island for quick access to things like music and navigation.

Camera and Battery

Now coming to optics, the Vivo S2 FE comes with a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and is paired with a 2MP bokeh camera. For selfies, there is a 32MP front-facing camera. So you should get pretty decent everyday shots in good lighting. You also get modes like Portrait, Night, Pro, High Resolution, and Ultra HD Document, along with AI Erase for removing unwanted objects from your photos.

In terms of battery, this phone packs a massive 10,000mAh cell, which is the major highlight. This should be particularly useful for heavy users who spend a lot of time watching videos, gaming, browsing, or traveling. However, the phone supports only 44W fast charging along with reverse charging. Vivo also claims up to 30 hours of video playback and 14 hours of MLBB gaming. So, if you are someone who prioritizes battery life over fast charging, the Vivo S2 FE could be an interesting option.
