Vivo T5 5G goes official with a 7,050mAh battery and Dimensity 7500 Turbo!

The vivo T5 5G is the company’s latest T-series smartphone in India, and this time Vivo is putting a lot of focus on the basics that matter in everyday use. This phone is actually a rebranding of the iQOO Z11 that was launched last week. It comes with a 144Hz curved AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset, a 7,050mAh battery, and a 50MP Sony camera with OIS. Vivo T5 5G Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Vivo T5 5G looks fairly slim for a phone carrying such a large battery. It measures just 7.99mm in thickness, while the curved frame and 3D curved display give it a more premium look and feel. At the back, Vivo has gone with a new “Skyline” camera module with a polished aluminum finish. The phone is available in “Royal Bronze” and “Silver Green”, both of which give it a more distinctive appearance than the usual black or blue options.

For durability, Vivo has given the phone IP68 and IP69 ratings. Therefore, accidental splashes or exposure to dust shouldn't be a major concern. The company has also added wet-hand touch support, which is a small but practical feature that can actually come in handy.

Up front, the T5 5G features a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display. Additionally, Vivo is promising three generations of Android updates and five years of security updates. Moving on, the Vivo T5 5G packs a massive 7,050mAh battery, which is easily one of its biggest highlights. It also supports 44W FlashCharge, and Vivo claims up to 85 hours of music playback and 34.7 hours of local video playback. In everyday use, this large battery should comfortably get most users through a full day and could even stretch into a second day with moderate usage. Moreover, Vivo says the battery can retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, which should be useful for long-term users.

For photography, the T5 5G features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera. Up front, there is a 32MP selfie camera. The main sensor and OIS combination should help with handheld shots, particularly in lower-light conditions, while the phone can also record videos in up to 4K at 30fps from both the front and rear cameras.
