Xiaomi unveiled the Civi 4 Pro in its motherland a few weeks ago. The Civi line of products had always been China-exclusive, until now! The word was — this time the Xiaomi Civi smartphone would be launching in India as well. It appears the rumours are true indeed, however, the phone will be rebranded as Xiaomi 14 Civi instead. The crackdown!
One of the most popular tech portals in the world — Gizmochina, spotted the Xiaomi 14 Civi in the Mi Code. This means that the rebranding of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro to the Xiaomi 14 Civi for the Indian audience is almost inevitable.
Other than that, we can see that the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone has the codename “chenfeng” and “N9” model number. Additionally, this revelation also debunks the existence of “Xiaomi 14 Lite”.
Xiaomi 14 Civi Overview
Moving on, let’s look into the phone itself. The Xiaomi 14 Civi might have a slight tweak in the modem such that it can operate on the Indian network. Apart from that, it’s the same phone as the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro. Nonetheless, let’s just run down through the overview.
Design and Display
The Xiaomi 14 Civi will come with a metal frame and leather back panel. Meanwhile, the screen up front as well as the back will have a slight curve making it easy on your palms when holding it. The phone will have the same camera-inspired design with a circular camera module aligned to the left. It might arrive in more or less the same colour options. However, it will likely skip the vibrant limited editions.
On the front, an AMOLED panel stretching 6.55 inches will greet you with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. This screen will be 1.5K in resolution while offering a 120Hz refresh rate and mindboggling peak brightness of 3,000 nits!

Performance
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro arrived with the fresh Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 as the processor of choice. This chipset was so powerful that it outdid last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with its new Coretex-X4 prime core. Given that, it wouldn’t make sense to go with anything else on the Xiaomi Civi 14 for the processing, would it?
Other than that, this phone should come with up to 16GB LPDRR5x RAM coupled with up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. However, the base Xiaomi 14 arrived in a single 12GB + 512GB trim in India, even though other configurations were available in China. So, I wouldn’t bet my money saying something similar won’t happen.
CAMERAS!
The cameras of the Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro were one of the two reasons for all the hype surrounding it. The phone had a Leica Optical Summilux lens on its primary camera just like the top-of-the-line Xiaomi 14 Pro! Additionally, it doubled down with a 50MP OmniVision Light Fusion 800 sensor. The Xiaomi 14 Civi should have the same duo for its main shooter.
The Leica madness does not end there! You will also be getting a 50MP portrait camera along with a 12MP ultrawide camera on the back. Both with Leica lenses of course. In the meantime, the front camera also comes with two shooters sitting underneath a “Dynamic Island”-like camera cutout. It consists of 32MP sensors, one of which is dedicated to ultrawide selfies.

Xiaomi 14 Civi Price and Availability
The launch date for the Xiaomi 14 Civi is unknown at this time. However, it should be unveiled in the coming few months. Talking of the price, there is no information on it either. But, it should be priced under the INR 69,999 price tag of Xiaomi 14 since the Civi variant is a semi-flagship. Given that, I think we will be looking at an INR 50,000 to 60,000 price range for the Xiaomi 14 Civi.
