Xiaomi has taken a bold step into the automotive industry with its latest creation, the SU7 electric car. Alongside this impressive vehicle, Xiaomi has also unveiled a new brand called “Xiaomi Life”. From trendy mugs to functional bags, Xiaomi Life offers a range of products to complement the SU7 experience. In this article, let’s dive into discussing the Xiaomi Life brand in more detail.

Xiaomi Life Overview

Strategic Move for Xiaomi

Xiaomi wants SU7 car owners to feel like they’re part of a cool club, not just drivers. They’re doing this by selling trendy and useful accessories for the car. This makes owning a SU7 more than just about getting from A to B — according to Xiaomi, it’s about “expressing a lifestyle”. Plus, it helps Xiaomi branch out from just making gadgets into the world of cars and other commodities.

Variants and Features of the SU7

The SU7 boasts an impressive design effort, with input from former BMW and Mercedes-Benz designers. It offers advanced driver-assistance systems, including options like Xiaomi Pilot Pro and Xiaomi Pilot Max, akin to Tesla’s features. Additionally, the City NOA pilot assisted driving system is slated for a nationwide rollout in May. Moreover, buyers also get to access connectivity features such as Apple CarPlay.

Performance and Battery Options

Each variant of the SU7 offers distinct specifications. The Standard variant boasts a range of 700 km and rear-wheel drive, while the top-tier Max variant accelerates from 0-100 kmph in a swift 2.78 seconds and features all-wheel drive. The top-end Max variant can achieve a top speed of 265 kmph and offers a range of up to 810 km on a single charge. Furthermore, the limited Founders Edition, equipped with a dual-motor, four-wheel-drive powertrain, delivers nearly 986 bhp of power and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 1.98 seconds.

Xiaomi SU7 EV

Xiaomi has partnered with CATL to provide two battery options for the SU7: a 73.6 kWh pack for entry-level variants and a larger 101 kWh pack for the top-of-the-line model. These batteries ensure a minimum range of 700 km on a single charge. Looking ahead, Xiaomi plans to introduce a larger 150 kWh battery pack next year, promising an extended range of 1,200 km.
