Honor X9c will be even tougher than the Honor X9b!

In recent years, Honor has focused heavily on the toughness of its midranges, equipping them with displays with one of the best drop resistance in the market. We here at GadgetByte put these phones to test ourselves, and we must say they are indeed TOUGH! Honor seems to be taking a step even further with their next device i.e. X9c. So, what’s cooking? Let’s discuss…

Honor X9c Rumours Round-up

A little context

Honor started highlighting the toughness of its devices with the Honor X9a. This phone came with a 0.65mm deeply reinforced glass that could apparently handle pressures of over 900MPa2. Furthermore, it was a 3D curved screen, which notoriously cracks rather easily. However, by layering their phones with this glass, Honor could continue to have the premium-looking curved display, while offering top-tier drop resistance. We even tested it ourselves during the review process, and it certainly stood up to its claims.

Honor X9b Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display

Honor then took a step further with the X9b, this time fully introducing the “Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display” I mentioned earlier. This time the phone had three levels of protection for the screen, frame, and internal compartments. There was a cushioning material with micron-sized pores that elevated the phone’s ability to take damage even further. As such, Honor ran an even more aggressive campaign encouraging reviewers like ourselves to crack walnuts with it! We tested the Honor X9b even more rigorously, and once again, the phone took all the brute like a true champ.

Even tougher!

The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer is now gearing up to launch the successor to the Honor X9b which will be dubbed the X9c. This phone will continue to carry the legacy of toughness its predecessors have proudly boasted. In fact, Honor is confident enough about this product and is saying it is the “Toughest HONOR Smartphone”.

Honor X9c Beta Experiencer Program

Customers can actually put that claim to the test as the company will soon run a Beta Experiencer programme. The registration is currently open, but only in Malaysia. Interested folks can quickly fill up a form, and test what the Honor X9c is all about.

Honor X9c Launch and Availability

While we don’t get an actual look at the phone, we can tell that the thing is already ready. Otherwise, there would be no point in carrying out a testing event. In the meantime, we expect the Honor X9c to launch by the end of this month. This is because the Honor X9b went public in October last year and recently the Honor Magic 7 series was also revealed to be going official on 30 October. So, things seem to be lining up for the Honor X9c, which might arrive alongside the flagship offering.
