The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Nubia Z40 Pro was launched in the first half of 2022. Now, the company has announced the Nubia Z40S Pro which is its upgraded version based on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. So, let us look at the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Nubia Z40S Pro in Nepal.
Nubia Z40S Pro Overview:
Design, Display
The Nubia Z40S Pro features a boxy design with redesigned camera module compared to the Z40 Pro. It is available in two colorways, Magic Green and Black. There is also a Ling Cage limited-edition model.
Moving on to the display, the Z40S Pro has a 6.67-inch OLED display with thin bezels. The screen has a Full HD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It gets as bright as 1,000 nits and has a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
Performance
Performance on the Nubia Z40S Pro is handled by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The phone is equipped with up to 18GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage.
It now has a larger vapor chamber compared to the Z40 Pro, in addition to the use of graphene sheets and thermal paste with synthetic diamonds.

Camera
Nubia Z40S Pro equips the Sony IMX787 as its primary camera. It’s a 64MP shooter with a 1/1.7” sensor and a 35mm equivalent lens. The lens is now brighter at f/1.6 aperture.
A 50MP ultrawide/macro and an 8MP telephoto lens with 5X zoom supplement the primary shooter. Nubia has also included optical image stabilization (OIS) on both the primary and telephoto lens.
It has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, Nubia has included six flashes as well as a flicker detection sensor.
Rest of the specs
The Nubia Z40S Pro with 80W fast charging houses a 5,000mAh battery whereas the 120W version holds a smaller 4,600mAh battery. The latter takes 19 minutes to go from 0% to 100%.
Other features include dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and a USB-C port.

The 80W variant of the Nubia Z40S Pro starts at CNY 3,399 for the 8/128 GB and goes up to CNY 4,499 for the 12/516GB variant. Likewise, the 120W variant is available in 12/512GB and 18/512GB options costing 4,299 Yuan and 6,699 Yuan. Here in Nepal, we expect the base 80W variant of the Nubia Z40S Pro to cost NPR 67,500. Whereas the top 120W model should retail at around NPR 130,999.
