iQOO has finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphone lineup in China. The newly announced iQOO 10 and 10 Pro bring the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and other upgrades over last year’s 9 series. The Pro model even has 200W fast charging support, making it the first phone to achieve this feat. In this article, we will be discussing the key specs, features, expected price, and availability of the iQOO 10 series (iQOO 10, 10 Pro) in Nepal

iQOO 10 Pro Overview:

As I mentioned earlier, iQOO 10 Pro is the first commercial smartphone to boast 200W wired fast charging. This feature separates it from the vanilla iQOO 10 and competing flagships from other brands.

To make this possible, iQOO has a self-developed a 10C ultra-thin battery and a three-way charge pump. The total capacity of the battery is 4,700mAh. iQOO ships the 10 Pro with a 200W GaN (Gallium Nitride) portable charger which delivers an impressive 10A current to the battery. The default charger can fully charge the phone in just 10 minutes.

Furthermore, you can even use a PD and PPS-compliant charger to charge iQOO 10 Pro, although at a slower 67W.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

iQOO 10 Pro is also the first phone from the Vivo sub-brand to feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chip. The new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip is based on a more power-efficient 4nm process node from TSMC. Furthermore, it even boasts considerable boosts in CPU and GPU performance.

iQOO has paired it with Vivo’s own V1+ chip which has a dedicated gaming core that achieves 90 and 120 fps in games by adding intermediate frames using the interpolation technique. This makes the gaming experience smoother without a significant increase in power consumption.

As for memory, iQOO 10 Pro is configurable with up to 12GB of LPDD5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Camera

Over on the back, iQOO 10 Pro flaunts a triple camera setup, led by the 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor. It is a 1/1.57”-sized sensor with Vivo’s “micro gimbal” anti-shake stabilization. Accompanying it is another 50MP sensor with a wide 150-degree Field of View (FoV). The third sensor is a 14.6MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Over on the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera enclosed by the center-aligned punch-hole cutout.

The above-mentioned V1+ chip also has an imaging core that helps with computational photography, especially in low light. It can reduce the noise in the frame and even replace the frame altogether using an advanced AI algorithm.

Design and Display

Finally, iQOO 10 Pro sports a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED curved screen with 2K resolution. It is an LTPO 3.0 panel with support for a maximum frame of up to 120Hz. It is an HDR10+ certified panel with a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits. In addition, it has 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 10-bit color depth, and is color-calibrated from the factory.

iQOO 10 Pro Design

Underneath the screen, iQOO has placed an Ultrasonic 3D fingerprint scanner that apparently can unlock the phone in just 0.2 seconds.

Talking about the design, you can get the phone either in a Race Track or the Legendary Edition. The former represents iQOO’s partnership with BMW with its tri-color stripes. It is also a tad bit heavier than the Race Track edition which has a simpler matte black finish.

iQOO 10

iQOO 10 is a slightly-toned version of the iQOO 10 Pro. While it has the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen chip and 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED panel, iQOO has cut some corners to make it more affordable. For example, it’s a flat screen with just FHD resolution, and there is no LTPO technology. It also misses out on the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

It also has the same 4,700mAh battery, but it only supports 120W FlashCharge support. The other change is in the camera. It has the same 50MP ISOCELL GN5 sensor as the primary camera but it now has a regular OIS instead of the gimbal solution. The ultrawide camera has been downscaled to 13MP, and it has a narrower 120-degree FoV. Likewise, the 12MP telephoto lens only has a 2x optical zoom.
