It’s no surprise that OnePlus is working on its next flagship smartphone. The rumors suggest that there will be no Pro model next year (it remains to be seen), so the vanilla OnePlus 11 is expected to pack all the bells and whistles. And the company has now officially confirmed that it will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. So let’s take a look at the OnePlus 11 and its leaks and rumors in this article.
OnePlus 11 Rumors Roundups:
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
OnePlus 11 received confirmation of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 at the Snapdragon Tech Summit last week. This makes it one of the first smartphones to use this SoC.
The new chipset is built around 2nd generation Armv9 CPU cores with new core architecture. This year, Qualcomm has chosen a new 1+4+3 configuration over the traditional 1+3+4 setup. The silicon includes a high-performance Cortex-X3 core, four Performance cores (2.8GHz), and three Efficiency cores (@2.0GHz). Qualcomm claims that its latest flagship chip improves performance by up to 35% and power efficiency by 40%.
Furthermore, reliable tipster Max J confirms that the smartphone will have UFS 4.0 storage. It is a new storage technology that can support data rates of up to 23.2Gbps, which is roughly twice the speed of UFS 3.1. UFS 4.0 was first introduced by Samsung in May, but it has yet to appear on any mainstream devices. So, once again, the OnePlus 11 could be the first to include it.
Anyways, we could see up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will most likely ship with OxygenOS 13, which is based on Android 13.
The first details about the OnePlus 11 have been shared by a popular Weibo tipster known as ‘DCS.’ As per him, the device’s engineering sample has the model number “PHB110” and a 6.7-inch screen. No surprise, it will be an AMOLED panel, and the company is likely to include LTPO technology, a WQHD+ screen, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The display will also house a punch-hole camera in the upper left corner. In terms of build, it might have a middle frame made of metal. And the device will also retain the classic alert slider.
