With competitors launching the Realme 6, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Galaxy M31, Oppo Nepal is now looking to strengthen its position with the launch of the new Oppo A52 in the Nepali market under 30K mid-range price segment.

      Oppo A52 Overview

      Design and Display

Oppo A52 sports a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio of the screen is 20:9 and Oppo has claimed a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5%. It has been made possible because of the thin bezels and the punch-hole cutout.

On the back, there is a rectangular camera module that houses the quad-camera setup. The capacitive fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the side. The back panel is clean and showcases the Alaska sky-inspired design.

      Performance and Memory

The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 665. It is a year-old mid-range chipset and used on a much cheaper phone these days. The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can expand the storage via a dedicated microSD card slot.

      Camera

The device flaunts a quad-camera setup on the back. The primary camera here has a 12MP sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree FOV, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front.

      Initial Impressions

Compared to other devices in the market, the Oppo A52 does have a pretty strange set of specs. We have a year-old chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The design looks great with the punch-hole but you only get an LCD panel. The camera setup doesn't look special (at least on paper) but the battery size is impressive. So, is the OPPO A52 a good option under a price of 30,000 in Nepal? To be frank, the OPPO A52 seems little overpriced given the features. Also, its competition is providing better specs. The Redmi Note 9 Pro is the best option if you are looking for reliable performance and stellar design. Similarly, the Galaxy M31 is our pick for the best midrange phone right now as it comes with a top-class AMOLED display and an excellent camera performance.
