Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro debuts in China with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4

Xiaomi has launched the Civi 5 Pro in China, adding a new stylish and powerful phone to its Civi series. At the same event where the flagship Xiaomi 15S Pro and its in-house Xring O1 chip grabbed attention, the Civi 5 Pro still managed to shine with its solid features and affordable price. It comes with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a beautiful OLED display, Leica-tuned cameras, and a large 6,000mAh battery. In this article, we will discuss the specifications of Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, including its specifications and expected price in Nepal.

Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro Specifications

Design and Display

Starting with design, the Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro comes with a bezel just 1.6mm thick, giving it a clean and immersive look. Xiaomi chose a metal frame and offers the phone in Black, White, Nebula Purple, Cherry Blossom Pink, and a special “Iced Americano” edition. While the regular models measure 7.45mm thick and weigh 184g, the coffee version is slightly thicker at 7.65mm and lighter at 181g.

On the display side, the handset uses a 6.55-inch OLED screen with curved edges and 1.5K resolution (1236×2750). It reaches up to 3,200 nits brightness, offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and features 2,160Hz PWM dimming. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and Xiaomi protects it with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Performance and Battery

Inside, the phone runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, built on a 4nm process. According to Xiaomi, this brings 31% better CPU, 49% better GPU, and 44% better AI performance than the previous generation. It comes with either 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. On the software side, the phone runs HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, offering a clean and fast user experience.

Powering all this is a 6,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, which balances endurance and speed perfectly. Even with this big battery, the phone stays slim and easy to hold.

Camera and Rest

For photos, Xiaomi worked with Leica to create a powerful triple rear camera system. It includes a 50MP main camera (Light Fusion 800 sensor, f/1.63 aperture, OIS), a 50MP telephoto camera (Samsung JN5, f/2.0, 60mm equivalent, 2x zoom, also works as macro from 10cm), and a 12MP ultrawide camera (f/2.2, 15mm equivalent, 120° FOV). The setup looks well-balanced, and it’s nice to see Xiaomi using Leica’s optics in the mid-range.

On the front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera (f/2.0) with autofocus and a special nano-prism lens that Xiaomi claims increases light capture by 25% compared to earlier models, which should really help in low light.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an X-axis vibration motor, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an IR blaster, and support for high-quality audio via LDAC/LHDC 5.0.

iQOO has officially introduced its new Neo 10 in India. It’s a performance-centric smartphone with a price starting at just INR 31,999. The IQOO Neo 10 brings the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a super fast 144Hz refresh rate display, and a capable 50MP camera in the midrange segment.

Design and Build

The iQOO Neo10 series retains a flat design similar to its predecessor but with slimmer top and side bezels, measuring just 1.4mm. The middle frame remains plastic, while the back features a redesigned camera island. A vegan leather option is also available with a refreshed look. Meanwhile, the device weighs 206gm.

Display

The iQOO Neo10 feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K+ LTPO flat screen. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The Anker Soundcore Space One Pro is now available in Nepal and packs a lot of useful features. Here’s a quick rundown of what it offers, including its official price in Nepal.

Design and Build

These headphones have a foldable design that shrinks their size by 50%. The ear cups swivel 180 degrees, and the headband folds up. The headband and ear cups are padded with soft synthetic material and come with a soft carrying bag, but no hard case.

Audio

The Space One Pro has active noise cancellation (ANC) that you can adjust through the Soundcore app, with intensity settings from 1 to 5. There’s also Transparency Mode that lets you hear outside sounds, which you can also tweak in the app. The physical controls let you play/pause music, adjust volume, toggle ANC, and manage calls. The Space One Pro has a bass-heavy sound, but you can adjust it with the app’s 8-band EQ or 23 preset options to suit your taste.

Along with the Xiaomi 15s Pro, the company also introduced the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, which also runs on the new Xring 01 chipset. This is Xiaomi’s biggest tablet so far, with a 14-inch display, and it’s also the brand’s first Ultra model. In this article, we’ll look at all the details about the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, including its features and expected price in Nepal.

Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra Overview

Design and Display

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra comes in a slim 5.1mm design and weighs 609 grams, which is heavier than the earlier version. Unlike its smaller siblings, the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro that come with 11.2-inch IPS LCDs, the Ultra model packs a large 14-inch OLED screen. This screen is twice as bright (yes, that bright!) with 1,600 nits brightness and supports DC+ PWM dimming.

Moreover, the display resolution is 3,200 x 2,136 pixels and it refreshes at 120Hz. It also supports 12-bit color with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. To protect it, you get Gorilla Glass 5. Plus, the nano-texture layer helps cut down on reflections. On the side, there’s a power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner for security.

Performance and Battery

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra runs on the Xring 01 chip, made using a second-gen 3nm process. This chip includes a 10-core CPU with a prime core that reaches up to 3.7GHz. It also has a 16-core ARM Immortalis G925 GPU and a 6-core NPU capable of 44 TOPS of AI computing, which sounds impressive even for demanding tasks.

This device comes in three options: 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, all using fast LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The Pad 7 runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2. Inside, there’s a big 12,000mAh battery that supports super-fast 120W charging.

Connectivity and Rest

On the connectivity end, the USB-C port offers USB 3.2 Gen 2 speed (up to 10 Gbps). You also get Wi-Fi 7 (be, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and even an IR blaster. The top has a magnetic spot to attach and charge an optional stylus. If you want a laptop-like feel, there’s also a magnesium alloy keyboard available.

Galaxy Z Fold7 might join the ranks of the best foldable phones soon!

Samsung is reportedly working on three new foldable phones, and the most talked-about one is the Galaxy Z Fold7. Let’s take a closer look at the rumored specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Rumor Overview

Here’s what we’ve learned so far!

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is expected to join the rank of the best foldable phones and might even top the list. However, based on the current rumors, its success could go either way. The new Z Fold7 will be taller, wider, and thinner than the last model. Also, it’s getting slimmer bezels around the main display, which is a nice touch.

Reliable leaker UniverseIce says those bezels might be only 1mm thick, down from the 1.9mm on the Galaxy Z Fold6, which is a huge visual upgrade in my opinion. Meanwhile, the Z Flip7 is rumored to have 1.2mm bezels, so it seems Samsung wants thinner borders to be a standout feature on these foldables.

The expected dimensions of this device are 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9 mm. Powering the Z Fold7 will likely be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite globally, which sounds promising and much better than any compromise with a weaker chip. Some of Samsung’s other foldables might not get the same treatment.

Other than that

Samsung is also working on the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the budget-friendly Z Flip7 FE. Right now, it looks like the Z Flip7 will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite in North America and China, while other regions may get the Exynos 2500 which might not perform as well in intense tasks. As for the mysterious Z Flip7 FE, we still don’t know much, but it’s expected to run on the older Exynos 2400. That choice feels a bit underwhelming for a 2025 device.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Pricing

It’s still too early to know for sure how much the Galaxy Z Fold7 will cost. But we hope Samsung keeps it at $1,899 for the 256GB version, just like the Z Fold6. Two price hikes in two years wouldn’t sit well with most fans.
