Motorola has launched a new smartphone, the Edge 50 Fusion in Nepal It was first introduced alongside the flagship model – the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in Europe back some months ago. The Edge 50 Fusion ships with up to 12GB of memory and up to 512GB of storage. Meanwhile, the smartphone boots on Android 14 out of the box with Hello UI skin on top.

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion sports a Pantone-validated 6.7” FHD+ OLED display with a 120/144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is available in both vegan leather and glass back options with a glass front and plastic frames. Moreover, it is IP68-rated and be available in joyful Forest Blue, Hot Pink, and Marshmallow Blue colors.

Under the hood, the Motorola 50 Fusion houses a generous 5000 mAh battery and gets its juice from a 68W fast-charging brick. Meanwhile, the device also comes with stereo speakers and NFC support.

We knew the Motorola G85 5G was coming and we got wind of it in the first week of June. However, after waiting for months, the phone has finally arrived in Nepal. In this article, we will discuss the Moto G85 5G along with its official price in Nepal.

Moto G85 5G Overview

Design and Display

The Moto G85 5G like many of its G-series compatriots, shares the overall design language. As such, it also has a camera island that seamlessly blends into the back panel. Meanwhile, this phone comes in three colour options and material choices. That being said, it ships in Olive Green, Cobalt Blue, and Urban Grey. Here, the former two have a vegan leather finish while the latter is made of a standard PMMA material.

On the front, it has a 3D curved screen with a pOLED panel. This display stretches 6.67-inch and FHD+ in resolution. In the meantime, it is capable of a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,600 nits peak brightness. Moreover, the display on the Moto G85 5G is a 10-bit one covering DCI-P3 colour space.

Performance

Under the hood, this phone packs the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3. This chip is a mere refresh of the Snapdragon 695 5G, which was featured on the Moto G85 predecessor i.e. Moto G84 5G. So, you kind of get a chipset upgrade this time around. Also, it is the first phone to feature this Qualcomm chipset.

Additionally, the latest Moto offering is available in two memory options: 8GB and 12GB. Meanwhile, in terms of storage, you get a sole choice of 256 gigs. The Moto G85 5G comes with a dual camera setup on the back. The primary lens here is a 50MP unit with OIS capability. The other camera you get in here is an 8MP ultrawide shooter that also doubles down as a macro shooter. On the front, this phone dons a 32MP camera for selfies and face recognition.

In the tank, it has a 5,000 mAh battery with a charging speed of 30W. Other than that, it comes with stereo speakers as well as a dual-microphone setup. Motorola has added one more model to its mid-range smartphone series by introducing the Moto G45 5G. And it’s official in Nepal. In this article, we will discuss everything we know about the Moto G45 including its specs, features, and official price in Nepal.

Moto G45 5G Overview

Design and Display

The Moto G45 5G has a similar design to Motorola’s other recent offerings with the seamless camera island. The phone is available in three colors: Brilliant Blue, Brilliant Green, and Viva Magenta. All the options come with a vegan leather finish on the back panel. On top of that, it has an IP52 rating and is “water repellent”.

Moving on to the display, it features a 6.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The company does not mention the type of panel on the Moto G45 5G, and sidelines it saying “Bright Display”. This likely means that it is an LCD and might have relatively high brightness compared to other devices in the same price range. Other than that, it features a variable refresh rate between 60Hz to 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

Performance

This phone was expected to sport a Snapdragon 6 series processor, and it indeed does. The Moto G45 5G comes with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 which is apparently the segment’s fastest 5G processor. This silicon is basically the same as Snapdragon 695 5G from a few years back.

Additionally, the phone is available in two memory options: 4GB and 8GB. On the other hand, you only get a single storage option of 128GB. The Moto G45 5G allows you to virtually extend the RAM and achieve up to 16GB combined memory. It will likely offer external storage expansion as well. Software-wise, it boots on Android 14 and will receive one year of OS and three years of security updates.
