Google Tensor G5 chip to be built by TSMC starting 2025

Google has decided to shift production of its custom Tensor chip to TSMC, moving away from Samsung Foundry. This change will take effect with the upcoming Pixel 10 lineup, expected in late 2025. The company has signed a 3 to 5-year deal with TSMC, which could extend up to the Pixel 14 series. New Manufacturing Partnership

Google Tensor 5

Google will manufacture the Tensor G5 chip at TSMC’s N3E node. The company will use InFO-POP packaging for the chip. In addition, this marks the first time Google is using TSMC for its Tensor chips.

CPU Layout and Architecture

The chip features a 1+5+2 CPU layout. It includes a high-performance Cortex-X4 core, five Cortex-A725 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores.

Memory and Packaging

Tensor G5 will include 16GB of RAM. Google will use PoP RAM sourced from Samsung Electronics. The chip focuses on local machine learning processing. Google will use its custom TPU for voice typing, photo processing, and other on-device tasks.

At the same event where the flagship Xiaomi 15S Pro and its in-house Xring O1 chip grabbed attention, the Civi 5 Pro still managed to shine with its solid features and affordable price. It comes with the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a beautiful OLED display, Leica-tuned cameras, and a large 6,000mAh battery. iQOO Neo10 launched in India with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4

iQOO has officially introduced its new Neo 10 in India. It’s a performance-centric smartphone with a price starting at just INR 31,999. The IQOO Neo 10 brings the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, a super fast 144Hz refresh rate display, and a capable 50MP camera in the midrange segment.

The iQOO Neo10 series retains a flat design similar to its predecessor but with slimmer top and side bezels, measuring just 1.4mm. The middle frame remains plastic, while the back features a redesigned camera island. A vegan leather option is also available with a refreshed look. Meanwhile, the device weighs 206gm.

Display

The iQOO Neo10 feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K+ LTPO flat screen. The display supports a 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the screen brightness now reaches a global peak of 1800 nits and a local peak of 4500 nits. These are improvements over the Neo9 series, which had a maximum brightness of 1400 nits (HBM) and 3000 nits (peak).

Performance

The iQOO Neo10 ships with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with Q2 chip. You also get memory up to 16GB RAM and storage up to 1TB. It boots on Android 15, and will get up to 3 years of updates.

Camera

The iQOO Neo10 features a 50MP Sony IMX921 sensor with OIS and an 8 MP UW sensor. Meanwhile, on the front, you get a nice 32 MP lens for selfies and video calls. Under the house, the phone is powered by a 70000 mAh battery with 120W charging support.

Fingerprint Scanner

In addition, iQOO has introduced a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for the Neo10. This replaces the optical scanner used in the Neo9, marking an upgrade in the biometric authentication system.

These headphones have a foldable design that shrinks their size by 50%. The ear cups swivel 180 degrees, and the headband folds up. The headband and ear cups are padded with soft synthetic material and come with a soft carrying bag, but no hard case.

Audio

The Space One Pro has active noise cancellation (ANC) that you can adjust through the Soundcore app, with intensity settings from 1 to 5. There’s also Transparency Mode that lets you hear outside sounds, which you can also tweak in the app. The physical controls let you play/pause music, adjust volume, toggle ANC, and manage calls. The Space One Pro has a bass-heavy sound, but you can adjust it with the app’s 8-band EQ or 23 preset options to suit your taste.

Connectivity and Battery

These headphones support Bluetooth 5.3, and they can connect to two devices at once. They also support SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs (the last one is for Android users). You can use the 3.5mm audio cable for wired listening, and ANC and Transparency modes still work in wired mode.
