Best Mobile Phones Under Rs. 20,000 in Nepal [Updated]

The lower mid-range segment of smartphones has got a lot of great contenders for the crown. Those cheeky smartphone pushers could very easily and wrongfully sway an average consumer. Therefore, it is necessary to know what you’re buying before going on to buy them. You can buy a lot of great phones at the price of NPR 20000. And here is our updated pick for the best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal.

Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 20000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 500 – 1000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end.

Best mobile phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal:

10. Samsung Galaxy M14

Samsung Galaxy M14 - Blue

Galaxy M14 (4G) is yet another option you can consider when shopping for the best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal. It’s available in two memory configurations: 4/64GB and 6/128GB and let me tell you one thing right away, if you can extend your budget, then definitely go with the 6/128GB variant. Definitely.

Price drop!

Because while Samsung’s One UI is great and all, that experience is simply not that enjoyable on the phone with just 4GB memory. And the good news is that the 6/128GB variant of Galaxy M14 recently saw a price drop in Nepal as well. It originally sold for NPR 22,999, and you can get it for NPR 20,999 these days.

Anyway, this is a typical budget phone from Samsung. It’s got a similar design language to what we’ve seen on most Samsung phones recently, you get an average display with a teardrop notch for the selfie camera, while its performance is nothing to write home about either. The Galaxy M14 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 chip, which means you gotta be quite patient with this guy in everyday use.

In terms of software, it boots on Android 13-based One UI 5.0. Samsung has committed to 2 years of OS and 4 years of security updates for this guy, and it has already tasted the One UI 6.0 Core (Android 14) update. But even on a budget phone, Samsung flexes its camera muscles since the Galaxy M14’s 50MP main camera can take pretty impressive shots. Granted that there’s sufficient light and all that.

Samsung Galaxy M14 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen, HD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI 5.0 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou / QZSS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Light, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 25W charging (no power adapter provided)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 20,999* (6/128GB)

9. Benco S1 Plus

Benco S1 Plus - White

At number 8 on our list of best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal is the new Benco S1 Plus. And just… look at it. The S1 Plus is available in a couple of more color options other than this silver variant — but there’s no denying it — this moon-like pattern looks gorgeous. Benco even says it has used “premium pearl materials” to make the back panel but I would take that with a massive grain of salt.

For a budget phone, the Benco S1 Plus has quite slim bezels too. Especially on the sides. While the display itself is a pretty decent one since it has 100% P3 colors, a 90Hz refresh rate, a Full HD resolution, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Benco has also tried its luck to copy Apple’s “Dynamic Island”, and there’s this separate UI element next to the selfie camera that pops up when you’ve connected the charger and things like that.

Still on Android 13

But the one thing I’m not happy to see here is that the Benco S1 Plus still boots on the old Android 13, for some reason. And it doesn’t help that Benco doesn’t promise any number of software updates here either.

The camera experience on this guy is pretty decent though. It’s got a 48MP sensor at the back, which can take pretty good-looking photos both during day and night. The S1 Plus also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader like most other budget phones out there, whereas it’s fueled by a big 5000mAh battery as well.

Benco S1 Plus Specifications:

  • Display: 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: Unisoc T616 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Dual (48MP primary, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Light, Gyro, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 19,999 (8/256GB)

7. Tecno Spark 30C

Tecno Spark 30C

The Tecno Spark 30C is the latest smartphone from Tecno, featuring a MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and offering an affordable yet capable experience. The phone has a 6.67-inch display with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, providing a smooth experience for everyday tasks.

It comes in three color options: Orbit Black, Orbit White, and Magic Skin 3.0, with the latter standing out due to its vegan leather back panel. But the Orbit Black color variant we have reviewed looks stunning for a budget phone. Plus, the device is IP54-rated for water and dust resistance, making it fairly durable. Additionally, it is available in two memory configurations in Nepal: 6/128GB and 8/128GB.

Average Cameras

The Tecno Spark 30C also sports a 50MP primary camera with a dummy lens for aesthetics and an 8MP front camera for selfies. During our tests, we found the camera to be on average.

Powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, the phone can last through a full day of use. It comes with stereo speakers tuned with DTS technology, promising enhanced sound quality, and an IR blaster for added functionality. Running on Android 14, the Spark 30C offers a well-rounded experience for budget-conscious users looking for good performance and features without breaking the bank.

6. Honor X6b

The sixth spot on our best phones under 20000 in Nepal list goes to the Honor X6b. This budget offering from Honor comes with a Mediatek Helio G85 SoC under the hood. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Booting on MagicOS 8 based on Android 14, the Honor X6b offers an ad-free OS experience.

Honor X6b Design and Display

As for the design, this guy bears a flat frame body with a boxy form factor. It’s available in three colorways in Nepal: Forest Green, Starry Purple, and Midnight Black.

5-Stars Drop-Resistant Display

One of the USP of this phone is its 5-stars drop-resistant display, which should be sturdier than the normal displays found in this price range. It is a 6.56-inch TFT LCD panel with a 20.15:09 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. Other than that, this HD+ screen also offers DC dimming for minimizing eye strain in low-light environments.

Meanwhile, fueling the Honor X6b is a 5,200mAh cell that supports 35W of wired fast charging. On the optics side, there is a 50MP main + 2MP depth unit on the rear and a 5MP front snapper on the waterdrop notch cutout.

Honor X6b Specifications:

  • Display: 6.56-inch TFT LCD screen, HD+, 90Hz refresh rate, 780nits of peak brightness
  • Chipset: Mediatek Helio G85 4G (12nm mobile platform)

5. Vivo Y19s

Vivo Y19s

Moving on, the newly launched Vivo Y19s takes the fourth medal on our list of best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal. Vivo has gone with a sharp look here with flat frames. While, Vivo has also secured IP64 dust and splash resistance for this guy.

A bright display

And there’s quite a bit to talk about on the display front as well. The Vivo Y19s has a typical 6.68-inch IPS display with a hole-punch cutout for the front camera. Likewise, it has a 90Hz refresh rate instead of 60Hz. Plus, the Y19s can hit an impressive peak brightness of 100 nits with HBM (High Brightness Mode) on. So if you’re outdoors a lot, then this is gonna be quite useful.

Then again, the Y19s’s performance is nothing extraordinary. It’s powered by the UNISCO T612 (12nm) chip that we’ve seen on a lot of other budget phones, although the one thing I like about Vivo phones is that they don’t compromise when it comes to memory. And you get up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage.

The Vivo Y19s enjoys a big 5150mAh battery, which should last you a couple of days at least. As for cameras, you get a 50MP main sensor at the back that can take decent photos, although that 0.08MP auxiliary lens is totally forgettable.

Vivo Y19s Specifications:

  • Display: 6.68-inch IPS LCD screen, HD+, 90Hz refresh rate, 1000nits peak brightness
  • Chipset: Unisoc T612 (12nm) 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Funtouch OS 14 on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Dual (50MP primary, 0.08MP auxiliary)
  • Front Camera: 5MP sensor (teardrop notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Proximity
  • Battery: 5150mAh with 15W charging (15W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 16,999 (4/128GB), NPR 18,499 (6/128GB)

4. Tecno Spark 20

Tecno Spark 20 - Cyber White best phones under 20000 in Nepal

And the Tecno Spark 20 rightfully takes the bronze medal on our list of best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal. It goes big on design and memory, while the Spark 20 is quite competitively priced too. Matter of fact, this is the most affordable phone with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage you can find in Nepal right now.

In terms of design, the Tecno Spark 20 arrives in a bunch of different colorways, that either have a glass or leather finish. Its flat sides and the iPhone-like camera island look pretty bold as well, whereas Tecno has even secured IP53 dust and splash resistance for this thing. Whereas the Spark 20 gets a 90Hz IPS display too, although I would’ve liked it more if it had a sharper FHD resolution instead.

High-res cameras

As aforementioned, the Tecno Spark 20 goes big on cameras. And discounting its useless auxiliary lens, you get a 50MP primary and a 32MP selfie shooter here. Not just that but the Spark 20 has dual LED flash — both at the front and the back of the phone — for well-lit photos and videos even when it’s dark.

The rest of the spec sheet on this phone is quite standard stuff. It’s powered by MediaTek’s Helio G85 chip — with Tecno’s HiOS 13 on top of Android 13 — alongside a healthy amount of memory and storage. There’s a fingerprint reader on the side, while the Spark 20 also has a big 5000mAh battery that should last a couple of days in light to medium usage.

Tecno Spark 20 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.56-inch IPS LCD screen, HD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 8GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: HiOS 13 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Dual (50MP primary, Auxiliary lens)
  • Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch cutout)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / AGPS / Glonass, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Ambient light, E-compass, G-sensor, Proximity, Virtual gyro
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 18W charging (18W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 17,990 (8/256GB)

3. Redmi 13 4G

Redmi 13 4G - Ocean Blue

The newly launched Redmi 13 4G takes the third spot on our list of best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal. It’s the successor to the Redmi 12 (which also makes a cameo on our list), and it brings a couple of upgrades here and there. Although there are some disappointing downgrades too.

Most notably in terms of cameras because while Xiaomi has swapped that 50MP main camera for a 108MP one here, the Redmi 13 4G gets rid of the useful ultrawide shooter for some reason. But when we tested them both, we found that the new 108MP sensor performs significantly better. It now has a 13MP selfie camera instead of an 8MP one.

HyperOS ftw

Getting to performance, the Redmi 13 4G enjoys MediaTek’s new “Helio G91 Ultra” chip. Having said that, this is nothing but a rebranded Helio G88 found on the Redmi 12. The good news, at least, is that it boots on Android 14-based HyperOS right out of the box.

Other than all this, the Redmi 13 4G has an identical 6.79-inch IPS display with a 90Hz refresh rate. This one is also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass, but Xiaomi hasn’t clarified exactly which generation of Gorilla Glass has been used here. Then there are a few upgrades in terms of both battery capacity and charging speed as well.

Redmi 13 4G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.79-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra 4G (12nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128/256GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: HyperOS 1.0 on top of Android 14
  • Rear Camera: Dual (108MP primary, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Virtual proximity
  • Battery: 5030mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 18,999 (6/128GB) | NPR 21,999* (8/256GB)

2. OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G

OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G

And meet the OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G, our second-best pick under NPR 20,000 in Nepal. Initially launched at 26,499 rupees for the 4/128GB, the price has now slashed to NPR 18,999, making it eligible and the king of this list. The key highlight here is the Mediatek Dimensity 6020 SoC, which is hands-down the best chip one can get for a sub-20K segment, without any grain of doubt. Plus it boasts 5G connectivity, cherry on top!

It is paired with 4GB of RAM which could have been at least 6GB. Still, it should cater to a normal user just decently for multitasking, if not great. Likewise, the phone boots on Android-13-based OxygenOS 13.1 on top. On the optics side, you’re looking at a 50MP primary + 2MP depth sensing unit and an 8MP front camera. Moreover, fueling the phone is a 5000mAH battery paired with a 33W fast charger while the display is a 6.72-inch LTPS LCD panel with a static 60Hz refresh rate.

OnePlus Nord N30 SE 5G Specifications:

  • Display: 6.72-inch LTPS IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Dimensity 6020 5G (7nm mobile platform)
  • Memory: 4GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: OxygenOS 13.1 on top of Android 13
  • Rear Camera: Dual (50MP primary, 2MP depth)
  • Front Camera: 8MP sensor (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light, E-compass, Virtual proximity, Gyroscope
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 18,999 (4/128GB)

1. HMD Crest

HMD Crest

HMD Crest is the latest entry to our list of best phones under NPR 20000 in Nepal, and it rightfully takes the first spot. Under the hood, it brings a fairly capable UNISOC T760, a 5G chip fabbed on a 6nm processor. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

OLED on a budget

This phone brings an OLED panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate for this range and it’s very commendable. So, you can expect great visuals and good contrast. On the optics side, it brings a dual-camera setup, comprising of 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensing unit. Upfront, there is a 50MP selfie snapper.

In terms of design, it features a flat frame design with slightly curved edges. For ingress protection, there is an IP52 rating as well. One peculiar feature here is that HMD offers home-based repairability for the screen, charging port, battery, and back panel. Likewise, fueling the HMD Crest is a 5000mAh cell with 33W fast charging support.

HMD Crest Specifications:

  • Display: 6.67-inch OLED screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: UNISOC T760 5G (6nm mobile platform)

Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 will get 6 years update support!

Recently, Redmi launched Redmi Note 14 4G and Redmi Note 14 5G, both running on Android 14 and promising up to four major Android updates. In a recent announcement, the company confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 4G will receive six years of security updates, alongside the regular Android updates. Let’s break it down further.

Redmi Note 14 extended software support

As per the latest information, the Redmi Note 14 4G will get six years of security updates, which is a significant step forward for Xiaomi. Along with the security patches, the device will receive four major Android updates. This will start from Android 14 and continue through to Android 18.

On the other hand, the Redmi Note 14 5G will receive two major Android updates and four years of security updates. This means the device will likely reach the end of its update cycle with Android 16. While this still provides good support, it’s somewhat disappointing in comparison to the Redmi Note 14 4G.

Redmi Note 14 5G Camera

Notable move….but!

This extended update cycle from Xiaomi is a positive move. The company might be influenced by Samsung, which has been offering extended support for 6 years even for low-end devices. It’s a bit surprising that the cheaper 4G variant gets longer software support, especially when considering the likely performance limitations of the 4G model over the next six years. This comes as an unfair trade to Note 14 5G owners, as it is quite obvious to expect a longer support cycle for their more expensive device, no? Well, we better hear something new on the 5G model soon, if not I will call this a stupid move from Xiaomi.

Potential Confusion

An interesting point to consider is that while Xiaomi has launched its HyperOS 2, the Redmi Note 14 series is still running on HyperOS 1. There are speculations on platforms like Reddit that the updates could actually be for HyperOS, not Android.

Xiaomi HyperOSWe have not heard anything from the company regarding this matter, but we hope this turns out to be true. Moreover, it’s still uncertain if the policy of update will carry over to the upcoming Note 15 5G series. It’s something worth keeping an eye on.

Alongside the OnePlus 13, its smaller sibling the OnePlus 13R has also jumped out of the curtain. This offering brings last-gen flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a sizeable 6000mAh battery and more. And it finally goes official in Nepal. Without further ado, let’s head into the specs, features, and official price of the OnePlus 13R in Nepal.

OnePlus 13R Overview

Design and Display

The OnePlus 13R continues to carry the typical OnePlus vibe with a circular camera module and a flat frame design. You also get the iconic alert slider on the left while the antenna marks on the frame show it to be a metal frame. Likewise, the device is IP65 rated, protecting it from dust and water splash damage. OnePlus ships this guy in two cues: Nebula Noir and Astral Trail.

OnePlus 13R Design and Display

In terms of display, you are greeted with a flagship-level ProXDR 6.78-inch OLED panel. This 1.5k res screen supports LTPO 4.1 tech with dynamic refresh rate switching from 1Hz to 120Hz. It also secures 5 stars SGS Screen Reliability certification, TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care, TUV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, and HDR Vivid standards.

What is affiliate marketing and how can you earn through it?

You have probably heard about ‘Affiliate Marketing’ before but wonder what it means or how it actually works under the hood. Well, today we are going to talk all about it in this piece, where we go from the basics of Affiliate Marketing to the global landscape and affiliate opportunities right here in Nepal! Without further ado, let’s get right into it!

What is Affiliate Marketing?

As the name implies Affiliate Marketing is a form of marketing that makes use of affiliates to generate sales or traffic. Here, influencers or individuals (affiliates) can partner up with brands to get a small commission for each generated sale. Although ‘sales’ are the most common metric, some brands also provide affiliate kickback for website traffic, offer signups, or app downloads.

Affiliate Marketing in Nepal Intro

Affiliates (aka Influencers) can ask their audience to buy products via affiliate links which track where a user came from. This has turned into a major source of secondary income for content creators around the world and it’ll only continue to grow in this age of social media.

Who is Affiliate Marketing for?

So, I did say “Influencer” a couple of times already but is that all Affiliate Marketing is for? Nop. You can try to become an affiliate today if you meet this ONE criteria.

Criteria Uno Lasto: Have an Audience

The first and last step to Affiliate Marketing is to have an audience to pitch the products to. This could be your blog readers, your YouTube subscribers, or your Instagram followers. The platform doesn’t matter as much as having your own core audience you can showcase products to. Of course, depending on the affiliate program and the platform, there may be a minimum traffic requirement or other vetting measures, but for the most part, affiliate programs are pretty easy to get into.

Affiliate Marketing in Nepal Platform

But don’t fret if you don’t have a large number of people waiting for your next post because getting started is just as easy with affiliate marketing. You can create your own blog on write on sites like Medium.com or host your own domain, maybe create a YouTube channel and promote products there. Tiktoks and Instagram reels will work just as well or you could simply use Google Ads or boosted posts on Facebook to get clicks. Regardless of the method, your end goal should be get as much traffic as possible as as many people to follow through (either with a purchase or signup).

How Affiliate Marketing Works

Like I just said, most affiliate programs are relatively easy to get into but how do they actually work? Well, it’s not rocket science and the process is actually relatively straightforward.

When you sign up for an affiliate program, you can create (unique) affiliate links for any product you want to promote. When one of your viewers clicks on this link and makes a purchase, it is tracked by the affiliate mechanism and you get your fair share.

Affiliate Marketing Works

For a consumer, the buying experience is going to be pretty stock with no added charges or hassles. Some programs also offer signup bonuses and gifts like gems or in-app currency but they are not as common.

Global Scenario of Affiliate Marketing

Now you might be wondering about the typical rates and the global landscape of Affiliate Marketing in 2025, so let’s briefly touch on that too. Generally speaking, you can either earn a percentage or a flat rate per sale but it varies between products and niches. For example, you might get something closer to 3-5% when someone buys a fancy dress from your link while another affiliate might earn a whopping 20% endorsing a VPN app. The rule of thumb is low ticket items with high sales (like clothing, cosmetics, books) have less kickback per sale while financial products and software are much more generous when sharing their profits.

Getting a fixed rate per lead is generally rarer but common in niches where you’d want to generate traffic or get new users like in a newsletter or an app.

According to a study from Cognitive Market Research, the global affiliate market was worth a whopping 18.5 billion US dollars in 2024 with a compound annual growth of 8% till 2031. That makes it an incredibly lucrative field to get into today! While most of that can be attributed to Europe and North America, the Asia Pacific region still did a whopping 4 billion+ in revenue in 2024 meaning that it’s a feasible venture here as well!

Global Affiliate Market Representation

The most common affiliate programs today are Amazon Associates, Rakuten, Awin, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, Shopify Affiliate, eBay Partner, LeadPages, and HubSpot Affiliate. There are probably hundreds more but you get the jist, right?

Affiliate as secondary income: How viable?

After reading this far, one little question might have been bugging the back of your head and that’s how much can you actually EARN through affiliate marketing? Can it be a sustainable source of secondary income? Could you do this full-time and nothing else? Well, here’s what the global data says…

According to a survey of over 2000 affiliate marketers in 2024, you can expect to earn anywhere from just a couple of hundred dollars a month to nearly 50 grand depending on your reach, experience level, and niche. Of course, one survey can’t tell you everything but other sources cite similar data with a median income of around 8,000 dollars. That’s a lot! So, you could definitely get into Affiliate Marketing as a side hustle, build a larger reach, get better leads as the years go by, and take it full-time.

Let’s talk Nepal 🇳🇵

Before you jump out of your cozy seats and send in that resignation letter to your grumpy boss, calm down. 8000 dollars a month for promoting products does sound pretty nice but we are not in the US or Europe, are we? Is Affiliate even a thing in Nepal? How much can you realistically earn through Affiliate Marketing in Nepal?  What are the opportunities that exist?

Well, you can certainly make some extra money on the side but affiliate as your major source of revenue is unheard of in Nepal. Some of the most popular affiliate programs in Nepal are:

You might not have heard about most of the others, but the Daraz affiliate program is quite popular and it’s pretty easy to get started there as well.

Protozoa Host and Nest Nepal are web hosting services that offer you hosting credits or some other form of commission for every successful conversion while BrotherMart and HukutStore are retail stores that offer commission on every sale.

  • We’ll cover Hukut Store’s promising Affiliate program in a future piece so be on the lookout for that as well.

Realistically speaking you might be able to break 4 figures if you actively promote products on social media or already have a following. But if you’re just starting out, Affiliate Marketing can be a good outlet to hone your marketing skills while earning some extra cash on the side. For celebrities with massive influence or content creators, Affiliate Marketing can be a good source of secondary income.

How can you get started?

Reading all this might have lit a spark in you that wants to give Affiliate Marketing a try but there’s no audience in sight. What can you do then? Well, everyone has to start somewhere, and that somewhere can be anything from your first blog on WordPress to your first reel. So here’s a general guide to get you started:

  • Choose your market niche:
    • A niche is a particular segment of the market that you need to cater to. You can’t go out and promote a beauty product in one reel and then a financial course in the other. Choose a market niche you are passionate about and research in depth about the opportunities available.
  • Choose your affiliate marketing channel
    • Now you know what you want to promote, find a suitable affiliate platform to facilitate this practice. In Nepal, Daraz, Hukut, and other affiliate programs listed above are your best bet.
  • Choose your platform
    • This will be your primary hub for pushing your content to the audience so choose wisely. Start a blog if you are good at writing, or maybe launch a TikTok if you believe in your abilities as an entertainer. You can always expand later on but choose your initial platform wisely.
  • Create engaging content
    • Now comes the fun part. Creating content. This is all you and there are no guardrails on what you can and cannot do. But, remember to keep it fair and not engage in things like clickbait to mislead your audience because…
  • Build an Audience
    • The end goal of your content is to build a core following. People who engage with your content and trust in your brand name. Misleading your viewers with fake promises and boasted features might generate a few early sales but it won’t be sustainable. Remember, the goal of Affiliate Marketing is to secure a (somewhat) passive income source, and building an audience is an unskippable step of that process.
  • Profit ???
    • With all that done and all the systems in place, you can now reap the benefits of your hard work. Getting to this step might take a while, but once it gets going, the returns will surely be worth it. Only the resilient ever make it so far, hence, remember to keep pushing content and make a consistent effort to be successful with Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate Marketing in Nepal: A few closing words

So, the affiliate marketing circle is quite small in Nepal as the venture is still nascent in the country. But, it’s definitely a viable way to earn some extra income if you already have a large following. Daraz definitely paved the way in making space for the Affiliate Market to flourish in Nepal while upcoming opportunities from platforms like Hukut. While we covered the basics here, there’s a lot more to ‘Learn’ than removing the ‘L’ there.

OPPO and OnePlus to replace Alert Slider with “Rubik’s Cube Key”

0

Oppo and OnePlus are rumored to be replacing their signature alert slider with a new multi-purpose button, called the Rubik’s Cube key, in their upcoming flagship devices. This article will discuss everything about the upcoming Rubik’s Cube Key that is going to be featured in Oppo and OnePlus smartphones.

Rubik’s Cube Rumors

Features

OnePlus and OPPO rubik's cube key

As the popular leaker, Digital Chat Station noted on Weibu, the upcoming Rubik’s Cube key will retain the alert slider’s core function of muting the device with a single click. However, users will also be able to add additional shortcuts, such as toggling the flash, camera, or translator. Furthermore, the button will support app quick-launching

Alert Slider Overview

The alert slider has been a key feature on OnePlus devices since 2015, offering quick toggling between three modes: Ring, Vibrate, and Silent. Apple’s foldable iPhone might debut as soon as 2026!

With the launch of Royole FlexPai 1, the first foldable phone came into existence. Ever since there has been a lot of progress in foldable phone making. Quite uncommon but Apple was not into this big game really. However, the latest rumors suggest that the long-anticipated foldable iPhone might hit the market as early as 2026. In this article, we will discuss the specifications and rumors about Apple’s foldable phone.

Foldable iPhone Overview

Apple entering the foldable game is a bit like a latecomer showing up at the party, everyone’s been waiting for them to arrive. Let’s wait for one more minute, alright? Oh I mean one year!

Not the first time!

While Apple wasn’t quick to jump on the foldable trend, the company has been quietly laying the groundwork behind the scenes. The first whispers of an actual Apple foldable device started back in 2021, with rumors suggesting a launch in 2023. But here we are in 2025, and it looks like the debut may finally be happening in 2026. The wait could soon be over, as the buzz around Apple’s foldable iPhone is getting louder by the day. It’s not just the iPhone that’s rumored to fold, Apple is reportedly working on two foldable devices: a clamshell-style iPhone and a gigantic 20-inch foldable iPad. But let’s be honest, the iPhone is likely to hit shelves first.

Foldable iPad Screen

Apple’s foldable journey

For years, Apple has been dropping patents like breadcrumbs leading to foldable devices. Their first patent for a foldable phone emerged almost eight years ago, but since then, Apple’s foldable progress has been a slow burn. Now, though, a recent leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that Apple’s serious testing of a foldable iPhone prototype might finally bring us closer to the real thing. The company might’ve taken its sweet time, but it seems like the foldable iPhone is on the horizon.

Specifications

According to leaks, Apple’s first foldable iPhone will likely sport a compact outer screen paired with a moderately sized inner display. If the rumors hold true, this could make Apple’s foldable phone one of the smallest in its category. The prototype being tested is said to feature a 5.49-inch outer display and a 7.74-inch inner screen. However, these specs are still not confirmed, as Apple is probably testing several prototypes before committing to the final design.

Apples foldable rumor

A new contender

Once Apple steps into the foldable world, analysts predict the market could experience a 30% growth surge, with sustained annual growth of around 20%. If executed well, Apple’s foldable iPhone could change the game entirely, pushing foldable into a new era and causing some serious headaches for the competition. If the rumored screen sizes are accurate, this foldable iPhone would be notably smaller than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, both of which sport larger cover and inner screens. In fact, it would likely compete head-to-head with the Oppo Find N2, which offers a 5.54-inch cover display and a 7.1-inch internal screen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Design
Image: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Design

When will it arrive?

While the foldable iPhone might be looking at a 2026 launch, Apple’s final product could take longer to hit the market. For now, it’s best to hold our horses and wait for the official word from Apple. The anticipation is real, but only time will tell when we’ll actually see this long-awaited device come to life. Until then, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for any more leaks or announcements.

Xiaomi 14T launched in Nepal with Leica cameras and Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC

0

Xiaomi updated its popular midrange Note series last month. And the Chinese tech giant is unveiling the T Series Xiaomi phone for the very first time in Nepal, the Xiaomi 14T. Let’s discuss the Xiaomi 14T in further detail in this article, along with its official price in Nepal.

Xiaomi 14T Overview

Camera

The cameras are surely the main highlight of both Xiaomi 14T Series. The company spends a great deal of time talking about the imaging aspect of these phones on the promo material. The two phones also have a pretty similar camera setup.

That being said, the primary shooter here is a 50MP Leica main camera. The base model, Xiaomi 14T has a Sony IMX906 sensor underneath. The auxiliary lenses include a 50MP telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide shooter.

In terms of telephoto lens, the Xiaomi 14T offers a 50mm equivalent focal length. Meanwhile, the ultrawide shooter appears to be the same as the 14T Pro. It’s the same story for the selfie snapper, which is a 32MP unit.

Xiaomi 14T Series Director Mode

Given that this phone is also a Leice partnership, it gets to enjoy exclusive Leica filters and aesthetics. The phone also utilizes the entirety of SoC including CPU, GPU, NPU, and ISP through Xiaomi HyperOS to offer better image processing.

Additionally, the video side of things is no sleeper either. You can record videos with 10-bit depth, Rec. 2020 gamut, and in HLG format. On top of that, there are features like Cinematic Blur, Rack Focus, and Dierector Mode as well.

AI, of course

Moving on to the AI, which is another key highlight of the Xiaomi 14T series. So, the Xiaomi 14T comes with Google Gemini which brings direct interaction capability with third-party apps. The AI also understands the contexts of photos and what is happening on the screen. Furthermore, these phones now get Galaxy AI-like features, including Circle to Search, AI Interpreter, AI Notes, AI Recorder, and AI subtitles.

Xiaomi AI Interpreter

The Interpreter feature translates language live, on call, and in meetings too. The Recorder can be used for transcription and summary generation. Likewise, the phone understands and generates subtitles for the media you’re playing on it. You can even copy those subtitles onto Notes. Moreover, the Xiaomi 14T phones tap into AI for image and video editing as well.

Design and Display

The latest Xiaomi semi-flagship phone has a similar design to its predecessor. The camera cutouts are more pronounced and cleaner, while the rest of the aesthetic remains unchanged. It is available in Titan Grey, Titan Blue, Titan Black, and Lemon Green colors with IP68 water and dust resistance. The latter has a PU leather finish, half of which is made of actual lemon fibers.

The screen on this phone is pretty much the same as the 13T series, however, the company markets it as a “Next-generation 144Hz AI display”. Given that, it is a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi 14T Design
Xiaomi 14T

So, what’s the AI for?

The screen automatically adjusts the color temperature and brightness according to the usage scenario and time, ensuring better eye health and visual experience. Xiaomi also mentions that the 14T phones have AI touch control and AI video but does not elaborate on what it is about.

Other than that, you get a touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz, PWM dimming of up to 3,840Hz, and peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits. Moreover, the screen offers a colour depth of 68 billion and a DCI-P3 color gamut.

Performance

The primary driver on the standard Xiaomi 14T is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra chipset. It is a 4nm processor with a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz and a dedicated AI accelerator.

Xiaomi 14T Series Hands-on

Memory-wise, it ships in 12GB + 512GB configuration in Nepal. Furthermore, it comes with the Ultra Space technology, introduced on Xiaomi’s flagship 14 series phones.

It is a patented feature by the company that taps into the untouched parts of UFS to extract extra storage space. So, basically, you are getting an extra 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB of space on these configurations respectively.

The Xiaomi 14T comes with a 5,000 mAh battery as the power source. The standard model only supports 67W wired charging.

Cooling System and other chips

The Xiaomi 14T features the traditional Xiaomi IceLoop System. Both it also comes with an independent security chip where you can store sensitive information. This chip offers protection against unauthorized access by malicious software that can steal your data.

0

Realme is gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup with the upcoming launch of the Realme Neo 7x 5G. This model could potentially be rebranded as the Realme 14 5G for global markets. Even if it’s true it won’t come as a surprise from Realme, as the brand has been using this strategy for some time. A prime example of this is Realme P1 Speed which is essentially a rebrand of Realme 13+. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the leaked details and rumors surrounding the Realme Neo 7x 5G, including its specifications and expected price in Nepal.

Realme Neo 7x 5G Rumor Roundup

The Realme Neo 7x 5G has already appeared for pre-order on JD.com, a popular online shopping platform in China. It was also spotted on China’s TENAA certification site with the model number RMX5071, which suggests the confirmation of its official launch.

Given the similarity to the RMX5071 (Neo 7x model number), it’s highly probable that the Realme 14 5G will be the global rebranded version of the Neo 7x. However, Realme has yet to share full details, including an official launch date, so we’ll need to wait for confirmation.

OnePlus Nord 4 review: Pedal to the metal!

So today I have the recently launched OnePlus Nord 4 in for review. As expected, this OnePlus phone is a bit overpriced here in Nepal compared to India — but if you look at its overall specs — you’ll see that the Nord 4 is a pretty well-rounded midrange phone.

But there are definitely a few things OnePlus should have done better with this thing! Starting with the fact that OnePlus has finally settled by including cheap bloatware apps and recommendations in the UI just like Realme and OPPO phones. It’s… disappointing, I know! And I have a feeling, things are going to get even worse in the future unless the community speaks up about it! OnePlus Nord 4 review:

Design and build

  • 162.6 x 75 x 7.99 mm, 199.5 grams
  • Glass front, aluminum back/frames
  • IP65 dust/splash resistant

Anyway, other than the bloatware situation, I have loved using this device. First of all, I really like the fusion of this metal & glass back design. It looks so much different from the rest of the bunch! Actually, this phone reminds me of the Huawei P10 from 2017! Good old days!

You also get metal frames here, instead of the usual plastic you get on every midrange phone so that’s nice too! And because of this, the Nord 4 is a tad bit heavier and I really liked its overall heft. It has a premium feel!

OnePlus Nord 4 Design

But one thing you have to be super careful with the Nord 4 is with the handling. Because this phone is quite slippery and I have already dropped it like few times. Another problem with metal design phones is with the 5G reception. To solve this, OnePlus says they have used new antennas and technology that utilizes the metal back to amplify the signal. And during my time, I didn’t encounter any problems with the 4G and 5G connectivity!

Likewise, you get a basic IP65 dust and water resistance, but I am surprised to see OnePlus not including any kind of Gorilla Glass protection for the display! At this price, most phones come with Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus 2 Protection.

Display

  • 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel
  • 120Hz refresh rate, 2,150 nits (peak brightness)

Quality-wise, this display is quite good though. I love the fact that the bezels here are almost non-existent. The flat screen is a bonus for me since I play a lot of AAA games, and I don’t want accidental touches which you get with curved displays!

But there are a few things about Nord 4’s display that are not the most competitive. Like… even though the Nord 4 has a good enough 1100 nits of brightness in HBM, its screen is not as bright as the Realme GT 6T (review). And even Motorola Edge 50 Pro while using it outdoors. However, HDR playback on YouTube and streaming platforms works well here.

And the haptic feedback on the OnePlus Nord 4 is to die for. Like seriously. It has the most precise, tight feedback I have used on a mid-range device recently. The Realme GT 6T is somewhat close enough, but the vibration feedback you get here while using the alert slider, or in the UI here is something else. So if you are someone who types a lot, and sends a lot of messages and emails from your phone, you are going to have a good time interacting with the Nord 4’s display.

I do have to let you know that the fingerprint sensor is placed a bit lower, so you might have to get used to that. Also, the stereo speakers are not the most balanced, they are loud and do the job for you, but I’ve heard better!

Performance

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (4nm)
  • 12/16GB RAM, 256/512GB storage (non-expandable)
  • Android 14 with OnePlus OxygenOS 14.1 on top
  • 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates

Anyway, another thing I like about this phone is the performance.

I mean, when I started using it, my first reaction was, wow this phone is fast!

OnePlus Nord 4 Gaming

I am also very impressed with the gaming results. You can play PUBG at around 85 – 90 fps, even games like Genshin Impact play smoothly with good stability. And the best thing is, this phone does not heat up or throttle while gaming for a longer time.

It does get warm after like 30 minutes into games like Genshin Impact, but I have noticed that the heat is not localized in one area. And it gets dissipated around the chassis. Plus, since metal is a good conductor of heat, the phone cools down relatively quickly too.

Even while running demanding benchmarks, I recorded a max of 43°C on the Nord 4 while something like the Realme GT 6T with the same Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, would reach 45 – 46°C easily. OnePlus has been clever about this because it seems like they have throttled the performance a little when the phone starts to heat up. This does not affect the gaming performance so much, but you will get slightly lower benchmark numbers on the Nord 4 than other 7+ Gen 3 phones.

What about the software?

But in real life, you won’t find even a hint of stutter on the Nord 4 while using the UI, multitasking, or playing games. OnePlus has also promised 4 years of OS and 6 years of security updates which is even better than what Samsung promises in their mid-range phones.

Cameras

  • Dual camera setup at the back
  • (50MP main, 8MP ultrawide)
  • 16MP selfie camera (hole-punch cutout)

OnePlus has downgraded the main sensor this time (IMX890 vs LTY-600) but I don’t know if it’s the high-end image processor at work, the images don’t have a downgrade in quality.

OnePlus Nord 4 camera

Comparing it with the Realme GT 6T, I am happy to report that the Nord 4 did not disappoint. The details are there and the dynamic range is well preserved too. I wouldn’t say OnePlus does better than Realme but it competes quite well.

In fact, I found the colors to be more digestible on the Nord 4 than the GT 6T. Or even the Moto Edge 50 Pro for that matter.

When it comes to ultrawide images, they are nothing to write home about with okay details and slightly worse dynamic range than the primary images.

The only thing I missed while using the Nord 4 is the lack of a telephoto lens! Yes, the digitally cropped 2x portraits from it look nice enough, but it just doesn’t compete with a dedicated zoom lens. Like that 3x lens on the Edge 50 Pro.

Sometimes the punchy colors on Motorola do make the portraits look a bit overbearing, but most of the time the 3x portraits from Motorola look more appealing!

And if you are someone who loves taking selfies and selfie videos, I have bad news for you. First, most selfies from the Nord 4 appear a bit pale, and second, it can only record 1080p 30 fps selfie videos, which if you compare it with Motorola’s 4K selfies, you can see Moto can provide rich color processing with a hint of contrast that looks good to my eyes.

And videos?

From the back camera though, you can click up to 4k 60 fps videos, and EIS works well to stabilize the video. OnePlus does need to tone down the contrast a bit with updates, but other than that the 4K videos are workable.

But hold on.

I recently compared the Nord 4’s cameras with the POCO X7 Pro (review), and I was quite shocked to see that its camera quality has actually gotten worse with updates. Especially in terms of things like highlight management and color consistency. So I hope OnePlus can undo its mistakes with a few more updates.

Battery

  • 5,500 mAh battery (100W wired charging)
  • No power adapter inside the box

OnePlus Nord 4 camera

Lastly, another best thing about the Nord 4 has to be its battery life! Like with most OnePlus phones, you get a big 5,500 mAh battery and the screen time I’ve been getting here is superb. Even using the phone at constant 120Hz, I am getting about 7.5 to 8 hours of screen on time – that too on intensive use!

And when I am home all day watching videos, the SOT would go around 9 hours or more! Even when the battery is about to die, the 100W charger that comes with the phone is super fast! It gets the phone from 0-100% within 30 minutes.

OnePlus Nord 4 review: Conclusion

So, overall, to sum up my experience, I had a pretty good time using the OnePlus Nord 4! I believe this is one of the safest midrange phones to get right now under NPR 70,000 in Nepal. Even though I completely agree that OnePlus Nepal could’ve done a much better job in terms of the price.

I love its fast fluid performance, interacting with the display is great thanks to the excellent haptics, you get an all-day excellent battery life, and it is easily the best-looking phone in its class. Overall, a pretty well-balanced phone!

But if the camera is your topmost priority and you like to click a lot of selfies and portraits, you should definitely go with the Honor 200 (review). Since that one has a dedicated 2.5x telephoto lens for excellent zoom and portrait shots. Not just that but the Honor 200 has a better set of cameras overall compared to the Nord 4.
