Xiaomi recently unveiled two new tablets—the Pad 6 Pro and the vanilla Pad 6. Although the tablets share a similar design, there are a few differences that set the Pad 6 apart from its sibling. So in this article, we’ll delve into the specifications, features, availability, and expected price of the Xiaomi Pad 6 in Nepal.
Xiaomi Pad 6 Overview:
Performance
The main difference between the Pad 6 and the 6 Pro lies in their performance capabilities. The vanilla model boasts a Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the Pad 6 Pro comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.
Still, the 870 is a competent chip in its own right, and performance-wise, it should be able to handle even gaming without any hitches. As for memory, you can choose up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. Xiaomi has included its custom MIUI Pad 14 for software, which is based on Android 13.
Design and Display
Both the Pad 6 and 6 Pro boast a comparable design featuring a sleek aluminum unibody and squared edges. Despite measuring a mere 6.51mm in thickness, the tablet is a bit on the heavy side, tipping the scales at 490 grams. It is available in three eye-catching colorways: Black, Blue, and Gold.
As for the display, Xiaomi has used the same 11-inch 144Hz 2.8K IPS LCD panel in the Pad 6 that it used in the Pad 6 Pro. The display is also fortified with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supports Dolby Vision technology.

Rest of the specs
Moving on, the camera hardware on the tablet includes a 13MP primary sensor at the back. And an 8MP lens on the front for selfies. The back camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 frames per second whereas the front camera can only record videos at up to [email protected], says Xiaomi.
Likewise, the tablet gets its juice from an 8840mAh battery with 33W charging support. Thankfully, Xiaomi has used USB Type-C 3.0 port on the tablet, which means it’s also compatible with PD chargers. For wireless connectivity, there is support for dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. And the audio front is handled by a quad-stereo speaker setup.
Xiaomi has also announced a couple of accessories to go with both the Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro. This includes a new detachable keyboard and a second-gen Smart Pen that is touted to offer lower latency, longer battery life and improved water resistance on the pen tip.
