In this article, we’re listing our picks for the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal in 2022. The mid-range smartphone market is probably the most competitive in many countries including Nepal. While most of us may not be economically able to purchase a flagship device, we’re fortunate enough since the mid-range phones have gotten so good these days.

However, the 25K market is a little bit of an oddball. Spend just a little more and you can choose from some of the best mid-rangers, save up a little and you go home with one of the best budget smartphones. Nevertheless, there are plenty of good options under this category. Let’s look at the best mobile phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal.

Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 25000—but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending Rs. 500 – 1,000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end.

Best mobile phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal:

For the best price-to-productivity ratio from a phone under NPR 25000 in Nepal, you should at least expect a Full HD IPS panel or even Super AMOLED ones on Samsung, Xiaomi phones. Similarly, the latest Snapdragon 600 series or Mediatek’s Helio/Dimensity lineup of chipsets should yield respectable performance on these phones.

Furthermore, if you install a lot of games and click a lot of photos, 128GB of storage should be a bare minimum. For the battery, 5000mAh or more will usually deliver excellent endurance. However, try to get one with fast charging support and a Type C port. With that out of the way, let’s check out the best phones under NPR 25000 you can buy in Nepal.

6. Infinix Note 12

Infinix Note 12 - Jewel Blue

The 6th spot in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal goes to Infinix Note 12. Infinix is a pretty popular name in the budget phone space, and the new Infinix Note 12 looks to appeal to this crowd with its shiny design and big display among everything else. Available in three colorways, the phone is also pretty slim at 7.9mm. At 184.5 grams, the Note 12 doesn’t feel that heavy to hold either.

Moving to the front, you get a tall 6.7″ FHD AMOLED display. Unfortunately, it isn’t complemented by a high refresh rate or a hole-punch cutout for the camera. But if you’re mostly concerned with media consumption on this phone, it shouldn’t be a problem. As for performance, the variant of Infinix Note 12 that’s available in Nepal is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G88 chipset; while there’s also an Helio G96-powered Infinix Note 12 in the international market.

Something for the gamers

It comes in a single memory configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone also supports virtual RAM expansion by up to 5GB. There are also some gaming-centric features onboard, like the 6-layers graphene cooling system and something called “XArena-Darlink 2.0”. The latter, according to Infinix, can help optimize the overall system performance for smoother gameplay.

But the Infinix Note 12 still runs on Android 11-based XOS 10.6, which is quite disappointing. Not to mention, the company doesn’t pledge to any guaranteed update cycle either—but a stable Android 12 update is planned for this guy. As for cameras, you get a 50MP main sensor at the back alongside a 2MP depth and a QVGA sensor. Powering the phone is a large 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It also has a dual stereo speaker setup with DTS audio.

Infinix Note 12 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G88 4G (12nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: XOS 10.6 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP depth, QVGA)
  • Front Camera: 16MP lens (notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS, USB Type-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Light, Electronic Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity

  • Price in Nepal: NPR 25,999* (6/128GB)

5. Motorola Moto G31

Motorola Moto G31 - Baby Blue

At number 5 in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is the new Moto G31. Well… “new” is putting it generously because this phone launched in the international market almost a year ago. Despite its age, the Moto G31 still has one unique aspect that most other phones on our list lack.

Yes, I’m talking about the stock Android experience. If you’re not a fan of heavy Android skins that most other smartphone makers go with and want a clean, bloatware-free version of Android, then this phone delivers exactly that.

Except for a few helpful Motorola tweaks here and there, the Moto G31’s Android experience doesn’t skew much from Google’s vision. Having said that, like the Infinix Note 12 above, it also boots on Android 11 for now. But Motorola has promised an Android 12 update for the Moto G31 in the near future though, so look out for that. Here in Nepal, you’ll find the sole 4/128GB variant of this phone.

OLED display

Getting to the display, the Moto G31 has a standard 6.4″ OLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is also pretty lightweight at 181 grams thanks to the all-plastic housing, whereas Motorola says it has a water-repellent design as well.

So it should survive against minor water splashes or drizzles but this in no way is fully water-sealed like your typical IP-rated phones. Powering the Moto G31 is MediaTek’s Helio G85 SoC. Moving on, you get a triple camera array at the back here. It includes a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro shooter. The selfie camera here is a 13MP unit housed inside a hole-punch cutout. Moto G31 gets its juice from a big 5000mAh battery, which unfortunately only supports a maximum of 10W charging.

Motorola Moto G31 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.4-inch OLED screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85 4G (12nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: My UX on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP lens (hole-punch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / LTEPP / SUPL / Glonass / Galileo, USB Type-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient Light, SAR, Electronic Compass, SAR, Proximity
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 10W charging
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 23,999 (4/128GB)

4. Realme 9i

Realme 9i Blue Best phones under 25000 in nepal

Similarly, the 4th position in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal goes to the recently launched Realme 9i. As the name implies, it is the successor to last year’s Realme 8i, although the upgrades this phone brings aren’t exactly all that impressive.

It’s powered by an energy-efficient Snapdragon 680 chipset. And this is coupled with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The latter is expandable up to 1TB since it enjoys a dedicated microSD card slot while you can also expand the RAM up to 5GB.

50MP triple camera

Over on the front, it flaunts a 90Hz IPS panel with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Realme 9i features pretty much the same camera configuration as its predecessor. It comes with a triple camera setup at the back led by a 50MP primary sensor. Accompanying this is a 2MP B&W portrait and a 2MP macro lens.

For selfies, it has a 16MP sensor on a punch-hole cutout. Other highlights of the 9i include a fairly large 5000mAh battery that supports 33W of fast charging.

Realme 9i Specifications:

  • Display: 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
  • Resolution: FHD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels), 20:9 aspect ratio
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 6GB LPDDR4X RAM (+5GB virtual RAM expansion)
  • Storage: 128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable up to 1TB)
  • Software & UI: Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11

3. Realme Narzo 50

Realme Narzo 50 - Speed Blue Best phones under 25000 in nepal

Taking the bronze medal in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is the new Realme Narzo 50. By the way, this is pretty much the same as Realme 8i—except that it supports faster charging and it is cheaper as well. And for those two reasons, we’re confidently placing it above the Realme 9i.

Although 9i’s Snapdragon 680 is certainly quite energy-efficient, it’s simply not as powerful as the Helio G96 powering the Narzo 50. So if you’re looking for a capable gaming phone under NPR 25000 in Nepal, this is definitely one of the best options out there. Complementing the phone’s processor is 4/6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage—whereas it also supports Realme’s “Dynamic RAM” feature.

Smooth 120Hz refresh rate

Performance aside, the phone has a smooth 120Hz refresh rate as well. Because of this, everything from scrolling through the UI or any app is gonna feel pretty smooth here. And to save battery, the Narzo 50 implements adaptive refresh rate tech as well. But since this is just an IPS LCD screen, you’re not going to get the vibrant color reproduction and excellent contrast of an AMOLED panel.

As for cameras, the phone hosts a triple camera setup at the back—but without an ultrawide lens. On the other hand, its design is something to talk about as well. The “Kevlar Speed Texture Design” as Realme calls it, looks pretty unique—to say the least. Finally, the Narzo 50 gets its power from a large 5000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.

Realme Narzo 50 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G96 4G (12nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM (+5GB virtual RAM expansion)
  • Storage: 64/128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: Realme UI 2.0 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP B&W portrait, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 16MP (punch-hole)
  • Audio: Dual speaker, 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Security: Side-mounted fingerprint sensor
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging
  • Price in Nepal: NPR 23,999 (4/64GB)

2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 11

Redmi Note 11 - Twilight Blue Best phones under 25000 in nepal

Similarly, the silver medal in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal goes to the new Redmi Note 11. As the name implies, it is the successor to last year’s Note 10 and is very similar to the Note 11S.

It brings a 6.43” AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. Likewise, it also has support for a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It is the only phone in this price bracket to offer a 90Hz FHD AMOLED panel in Nepal.

6nm processor

Here, Redmi has opted for efficiency rather than raw power by going with the new Snapdragon 680 chipset. Based on a newer 6nm process, it is more power-efficient than the Snapdragon 678 but lags in terms of performance. So, it is not a phone for gamers. At the back, the phone has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there is a 13MP selfie shooter.

Redmi Note 11 gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery, which takes a little over an hour to go from 0 to 100% using the 33W charger. The battery life is great, thanks to the power-efficient chipset. Another notable feature is its stereo speakers, which are among the best in the segment. Together with the AMOLED panel and exceptional battery, it makes Redmi Note 11 a great device for multimedia.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.43-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
  • Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: MIUI 13 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Quad (50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP lens (punch-hole)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB Type-C
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Proximity, E-compass, Gyro, 360 Ambient Light
  • Battery: 5000mAh with 33W fast charging

1. Samsung Galaxy F22

Samsung Galaxy F22 Denim Blue

Finally, taking the top spot in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is the Samsung Galaxy F22. While being similar to the M32 in most aspects, we believe this phone delivers the best value for money. Samsung has made some meaningful compromises here to deliver incredible value.

HD display

The most significant of those sacrifices has to be the HD display. That makes Galaxy F22 the only phone on this list to skip a Full HD panel. However, the Helio G80 powering the device hands 90Hz smoothness incredibly well under HD resolution. We found the colors, contrast, and touch responsiveness to be quite optimized on this Super AMOLED panel too.

On top of this, Samsung offers Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front. That being said, F22 is not the most powerful phone you can get under NPR 25,000 in Nepal. But the Galaxy F22 outshines the competition with its reliable cameras, excellent battery endurance, and optimized One UI.

Samsung Galaxy F22 Specifications:

  • Display: 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, HD+, 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 5
  • Chipset: MediaTek Helio G80 4G (12nm Mobile Platform)
  • Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage (expandable)
  • Software & UI: One UI Core 3.1 on top of Android 11
  • Rear Camera: Quad (48MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
  • Front Camera: 13MP lens (notch)
  • Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
  • Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB Type-C, 4G LTE
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Geomagnetic, Virtual Light, Virtual Proximity
  • Battery: 6000mAh with 15W fast charging
