Dell 16S and Dell 14S lauched with OLED display and faster LPDDR5x RAM!

Dell has refreshed its mainstream laptop lineup for 2026 with the introduction of the new Dell 16S and Dell 14S. Both devices are available with Intel's latest Core Ultra (Series 3) processors and up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM. So yeah, in this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the Dell 16S and Dell 14S, including their specifications, features, expected price in Nepal, and availability.

Dell 16S and Dell 14S Overview

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Dell 16S and Dell 14S share the same overall design language and are available in Frost Blue and Celestial Blue color options. As expected, the 14S is the more compact and offers portability, weighing as little as 1.45 kg and measuring 313.7 x 224 mm. The larger 16S, on the other hand, weighs 1.77 kg and measures 356.8 x 251.4 mm. Despite the size difference, both laptops maintain the same slim 15.3 mm profile.

On the display side, Dell offers plenty of options for both the 16S and 14S. The Dell 16S starts with a 16-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1200) non-touch display that delivers 400 nits of brightness and a 48–60Hz refresh rate. You can also opt for an FHD+ touch panel, a 16-inch QHD+ (2560 × 1600) display with a 48–120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits, 100% sRGB, and Dolby Vision, or go all the way with a 16-inch 2.8K OLED touch display featuring a 48–120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits, 100% DCI-P3, and Dolby Vision.

The Dell 14S also follows a similar approach with multiple display options. It starts with a 14-inch FHD+ non-touch panel offering 400 nits of brightness and Comfort View support, followed by an FHD+ touch option. The higher-end model includes a 14-inch QHD+ panel with a 48–120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits, and 100% sRGB coverage. 

If you prefer an OLED display, Dell also offers both touch and non-touch 14-inch FHD+ OLED panels with 300 nits of brightness, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and Dolby Vision. 

Performance and Memory

In terms of performance, the Dell 16S and Dell 14S offer the same processor options, so your choice mainly depends on whether you prefer a larger or smaller display. Both laptops are available with Intel's latest Core Ultra (Series 3) lineup, ranging from the Core Ultra 5 322 to the flagship Core Ultra 9 386H.

These chips feature up to 16 cores, boost clocks of up to 4.9GHz, and an NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS, making both laptops well-suited for everyday productivity, content creation, and AI-powered tasks.

On the graphics side, the device ships with integrated Intel Graphics on most configurations, except the Ultra X7 358H variant, which gets the more capable Intel Arc B390 GPU. 

Talking about memory, both laptops ship with either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x running at 7467 MT/s, in a dual-channel configuration, whereas for storage we get 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD options on both.

Ports, Battery and Extras

For connectivity, both laptops come with a solid selection of ports, including an HDMI 2.1 port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack.

As for the battery, both the Dell 16S and Dell 14S pack a 70Wh 3-cell battery with support for 65W USB-C charging. Other features include an FHD+ IR webcam with Windows Hello support, dual microphones with AI noise reduction, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos Core and Smart Amplifier technology.

Dell 16S and Dell 14S Price in Nepal and Availability

Neither the Dell 16S nor the Dell 14S has been officially launched in Nepal yet. In India, the Dell 14S starts around INR 119,900, whereas the Dell 16S starts at INR 229,990.
