But the trade-off in display and performance makes no sense.

Honor has expanded its mid-range phone lineup with the new Honor X7e, the direct successor to last year's Honor X7c (review). This new phone from Honor offers significant upgrades in battery capacity, software, and everyday features compared to its predecessor. In this article, I will discuss the Honor X7e in detail, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Key Highlights
- The Honor X7e comes with a massive 7500mAh battery and 45W fast charging for long-lasting usage.
- It features a 50MP AI ultra-clear main camera with PDAF for improved focus and clarity.
- The phone sports a 6.61-inch 120Hz display, but it is limited to HD+ resolution.
- It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, which prioritizes everyday tasks over gaming performance.
Honor X7e Overview
Camera and Battery
Starting with the optics, the Honor X7e comes with a 50MP f/1.8 AI Ultra-Clear camera alongside an auxiliary lens, offering 10x digital zoom. Though the number remains the same as its predecessor, this new setup has PDAF over the standard AF—so that you get quick and precise focus while capturing shots of moving objects. Similarly, you get a 5MP f/2.2 shooter in front for basic selfies and video calls.

For battery life, this phone packs a massive 7500mAh silicone carbon cell, which is quite a bump from the 5200mAh cell we saw in the Honor X7c. Here, the X7e supports 45W fast wired charging alongside 7.5W reverse wired charging. And according to Honor, this battery should deliver more than a day of battery life in casual use, while also offering 31.7 hours of video playtime.
Design and Display
In terms of design, the Honor X7e opts for a sleek, clean look with a vertically oriented camera island instead of the square one we saw in its predecessor. This design is very similar to that of the POCO X8 Pro (review) and POCO X8 Pro Max (review) that were launched earlier this year. Additionally, it leans slightly toward the heavier side at 200 grams due to its large battery. However, this phone has maintained its slim profile with 8.3mm thickness.

Apart from this, it comes in three fresh color options as “Sunrise Orange”, “Light Blue”, and “Midnight Black,” which Honor claims to be inspired by nature. It also comes with an IP64 rating against dust and water splashes, so your phone remains protected even if you accidentally expose it to rain.
Up front, it uses the same TFT LCD panel, while the screen size drops to 6.61 inches, making it more compact and easy to carry. While the 120Hz refresh rate remains the same on this phone too, the resolution drops to HD+, which is quite disappointing for a mid-range phone, as its competitors like Tecno Pova Curve 2, Infinix Note Edge, and Infinix Note 60 offer more.

Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Honor X7e uses the entry-level MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chip, built on a 12nm process, rather than the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (4nm) chipset we saw in its predecessor. This chip offers lower CPU efficiency and weaker GPU performance, so it is less suitable for gaming. If you are looking for gaming, you should skip it and go for a much more powerful phone like the POCO X8 Pro (review)—which falls in a similar price bracket.

Memory-wise, it comes with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. For software, it runs on MagicOS 10 on top of Android 16 for managing everyday work smoothly. Besides this, the Honor X7e also has a dedicated AI button that can handle various day-to-day tasks with a single tap. And for wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.
