OnePlus is back with its new midrange phone, soon after the successful launch of the Nord 6 in India. The new OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite focuses on durability, chip, and a day-long battery life, but cuts corners in other areas. In this article, I will discuss the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite Overview

To start, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite uses the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex SoC, built on a 4nm process and making its debut on this phone. This chip is the refreshed version of the Dimensity 7300 series that we saw at phone launches in 2024 and 2025. According to OnePlus, this phone can support up to 144 fps for runner games, while top-rated shooting games like BGMI and CODM run smoothly at 90 fps. With these numbers, we can expect decent gaming performance in this phone. And if you are casual gamers, this might be an option to consider.

It also has a 5300 mm² vapor chamber to keep the phone's temperature under control. With this VC, heat is instantly pulled away from the chip, which should help to prevent thermal throttling issues in the phone. This VC chamber is larger than that of Nothing Phone 4a, which has 3200 mm² and falls in a similar price range.

Memory-wise, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite offers 6/8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which means you will get faster app opening than with UFS 2.2 storage. For software, this phone uses the OxygenOS 16 on top of Android 16. Though I don't find any such details of this phone related to the updates. But with the past experience with OnePlus, we can expect 3 years of major OS updates and 4 years of security patches.

Big battery, but what about the camera?

As I said earlier, this phone has a large 7000mAh battery to support you all day. According to OnePlus, you can get up to 81.7 hours of music playtime and 26.2 hours of video playtime on a single charge. They also said that with 10 minutes of charging, you can use this phone for 1.4 hours of gaming and 7.5 hours of phone calls. Here, you also get 45W SuperVOOC and PPS charging, along with the 10W reverse wired charging. This phone is also said to support the bypass charging.

Looking at the optics, you might be confused by the triple-lens setup in OnePlus's design and marketing, which presents it as a dual-camera setup. But in reality, the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite offers only a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera paired with a 2MP f/1.8 depth sensor. It is quite disappointing that OnePlus skipped the ultrawide sensor in this phone. Since its competitors like the Samsung Galaxy A37, Xiaomi 15T, and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus have that sensor.

With this, you can expect decent daylight photography, but at night, this phone might not deliver that great result. Similarly, you get an 8MP f/2.0 sensor in the front for selfies and video calls.

OnePlus cuts corners on its display

Design-wise, OnePlus has made the new OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite cleaner than its predecessor, the Nord CE4 Lite. This time, it has a distinct vertical camera island on the back that houses 3 lenses, and a strip-shaped LED flash on the side of the camera island. You may also find it heavier and thicker than its predecessor, likely due to its larger battery. And you can also expect this phone to survive a major accidental drop, as it comes with MIL-STD certification. This phone is available in “Vivid Mint” and “Hyper Black” finishes.

Moving on, the LCD panel of the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite is the most disappointing aspect. Nevertheless, it comes with a 144Hz refresh rate, which should deliver the flagship-level smoothness while scrolling through social media. But the visuals on the screen might look faded and washed out when watching high-quality movies.

Moreover, the 1000 nits HBM makes this phone suitable for use in direct sunlight. And if you are continuously using this phone for watching and reading, it also offers DC dimming to prevent eye fatigue.
