Design and Display

The Stratos 3 Ultra weighs 56.5 g, and without the wristband, it weighs 34.8 g. It features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The display offers a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels with 391 PPI. Additionally, it supports a brightness of up to 1000 nits.

The case is made from a zinc metal bezel with a drilling carbon coating. The buttons and buckle are crafted from stainless steel. The wristband is made of durable silicone and measures 22 mm. Ultima offers affordable qualitative products while also focusing highly on user experience. They have taken another leap in the latter regard and become the first Nepali brand to have an in-house app for wearable audio devices. That being said, Ultima has launched “Prime 1.0” with proprietary app support! Let’s discuss further on these earbuds along with the Ultima Link app in this article.

One of the main highlights of the Ultima Prime 1.0 is that it comes with a companion app, named the “Ultima Link”. While having such an app isn’t unheard of, this is the first time a Nepali company has offered such a feature. This effectively makes Ultima Prime 1.0 the first-ever Nepali earbuds with in-house app support. And in a true Nepali fashion, Ultima Link offers Nepali as a language option alongside English.

Apart from that, the Ultima Link offers a handful of pro features — the major one being audio customisation. You get two preset EQ modes — Signature and Balanced. On top of that, you can tailor and add more sound profiles which suit your taste better. You can also customise the earbuds’ touch control and tap into the “Game Mode” through the app. When in this mode, the latency on the Ultima Prime 1.0 drops as low as 40ms. Then there is the “Find my device” feature which will trigger a loud sound for you to locate your earbud if you ever misplace it. Lastly, customers can also seek the brand’s support easily through the app!

With this, Ultima Link adds more premium features to Prime 1.0 earbuds and opens the way for the brand’s future audio accessories to do the same as well.

Design and Audio

Now talking of the earbuds, Ultima Prime 1.0 comes in an in-ear fitting with a dual-tone finish. The front of the earbuds’ stem has a reflective layering while the rest of the body has a glossy finish. This aesthetic carries on to the charging case too with a shiny chrome design on the lid and the standard shade on the rest of the body. This gives the Ultima Prime 1.0 a slight resemblance to the Xiaomi Buds 5 on the outside. Other than that, these buds are IPX5-rated offering good resistance to sweat and water splashes. They ship in two colour options: Space Black and Star Gold.

Moving on to the audio, the Ultima Prime 1.0 is equipped with 13mm titanium drivers for audio delivery. In addition, these buds have two microphones on top of the main receiver dedicated just to noise cancellation. As such, these earbuds have a six-mic setup offering both active as well as environmental noise cancellation. Users can enjoy up to 30dB of unwanted sound negation along with Transparency and Adaptive modes.

Benco, a budget-centric smartphone brand has unveiled a new smartphone, Benco V91c in Nepal. It brings the same UNISOC T606 chip from the V91 but in a different design. Without further ado, let’s get into the specs, features and official price of Benco V91c in Nepal, in this article.

Meta Quest 3 is one of the most popular mixed-reality headsets in the world. One of the main contributing factors to their popularity is their affordability. Now, Meta has gone a step further and launched an even cheaper headset, without compromising much on the performance. In this article, we delve into the details of the Meta Quest 3S and also discuss its expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

The standout design aspect of the Meta Quest 3S is definitely its camera layout, whose alignment is awfully similar to the Pro series iPhones. Other than that, they look pretty much the same as the standard Quest 3. It comes with a customisable strap and an action button to toggle between modes. Meta says the headset is lightweight too, however, they have not given actual numbers on the weight. Additionally, Meta was kind enough to include a spacer in between, so that users who need glasses can enjoy the Quest 3S without taking them off. Otherwise, they can also customise the thing with Zenni MR prescription lenses.

As for the visuals, the headset features screens with 1,832 x 1,920 pixels resolution per eye. This is quite a bit low in comparison to the biggest and baddest headset from the company, which has 2,064 × 2,208 pixels dedicated to each eye. Other than that, it has a 96° by 90° field of view, 20 pixels per degree, and 773 PPI pixel density.

Performance

The Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 coupled with 8GB memory handles the workload on the Meta Quest 3S. Given that, this headset has similarly potent internals to the regular Quest 3. Furthermore, the headset is available in 128GB and 256GB storage options. The maximum storage on this wearable is half that you would get on the top-of-the-line offering.

Software and Features

The Meta Quest 3S offers the Passthrough feature introduced on the Meta Quest 3. This allows you to enjoy mixed reality wherein you can overlay the virtual world on top of the real world. It is a second-generation wearable from EssilorLuxottica and Meta, succeeding the Ray-Ban Stories which launched in 2021. The glasses have received timely updates, the most recent of which is improved AI and features. In this article, we will discuss the Ray-Ban Meta in further detail and put a number on what its price in Nepal might be.

These new smartglasses have gotten some trimming and lost some weight too. They now boast an IPX4 rating and come with interaction earcons for faster and more reliable responses to your commands. While the hardware itself is about alright, it isn’t enough to set the Ray-Ban Meta apart from other smartglasses in the market. What does make it stand out is the features it offers and Meta AI integration. This wearable device benefits heavily from the fact that Meta owns all the major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. As such, you can live-stream POV videos onto the former two platforms and hear out the comments too. Similarly, you can video call your friends and family through Messenger and WhatsApp as well, opening the possibility for easier hands-free communication.

The Meta AI integration is by far the greatest feature and the main selling point of the Ray-Ban Meta. Users can say “Hey Meta” to access the conversational assistant and ask for help. It’s not just limited to search and answer types of queries, it can utilise the built-in camera, understand the context, and help you out accordingly. For instance, you could ask the smartglasses to translate a foreign text you are looking at. Or look at a historical site and pull up information about it.

The Ray-Ban Meta was already capable enough, now the AI and features got even better and richer. Now the Meta AI retains the memory of the recent conversation, so you can ask follow-up questions without saying “Hey Meta”. Likewise, you no longer need to say “look and” for your glasses to see and inform you about what you’re looking at. Just ask away… These glasses can now remember other things and set up reminders as well. Like, you could ask the Ray-Ban Meta to remember where you put your keys or parked your car, and such.

These glasses were already capable of video calls on WhatsApp and Messenger but now you can also send voice messages only. Furthermore, Ray-Ban Meta can act as a real-time tourist guide for you. Meta has added video input to its AI, which is now able to tag along through your journey, plan routes, and so on. Moreover, these glasses will soon be getting live speech translation features as well. The AI is being better integrated into Spotify and Amazon Music and expanded to Audible and iHeart. With this, you can ask the glasses about the music or audiobook you are listening to.

Apart from AI things, Meta has partnered with Be My Eyes. It is a free app that allows visually impaired individuals to connect with regular sighted volunteers for guidance on what is in front of them.
