Most Lenovo laptops are readily available in Nepal. Everything from entry-level idea pads to top-of-the-line Legion Pros can be found and purchased relatively easily through a local retailer. But, we hadn’t seen Lenovo’s V series Business laptops make a strong presence before. In this article, let’s take a look at the Lenovo V15 Gen 4 business laptop price in Nepal, alongside the available configurations and specifications.

Lenovo V Series Laptops

Lenovo V series laptops are ‘simple, powerful, and secure’ business devices. They prioritize portability, and reliability alongside a key focus on security, and productivity. As such, they are offered in compact 14” and 15” form factors, alongside efficient ‘U’ class processors, and privacy features. Do note that V 17 laptops, with 17” displays and more powerful ‘H’ series processors are also available in some markets but they are currently unavailable in Nepal.

Design and Display

Lenovo’s V 15 features a minimal and modern design with a brand logo on the top-right of the lid and a clean front. We get to see a full-sized keyboard which unfortunately lacks a backlight, and a decently sized trackpad. The laptop is easy to carry for office and business use weighing just around 1.7 kg.

On the display front, we get a 15.6” Full HD screen but it is a TN panel. Color coverage is at 45% NTSC gamut – common for laptops at this price point. The display has an anti-reflective matte coating and can go to 250 nits of brightness.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, you can configure the V15 Gen 4 with either Intel or AMD processors. Both 13th-generation Raptor Lake Intel and 7000 series AMD CPU-equipped laptops should eventually make their way to Nepal. But for now, you can get the Ryzen 7320U and Ryzen 7520U-equipped models with 4 Cores and 8 Threads.

Huawei has taken the curtain off from the Pura 70 Series in China. This flagship lineup brings three devices: Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. Among them, the latter one is the most interesting guy with a retractable lens. Here in this article, we’ll talk about the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Huawei Pura 70 Ultra Overview:

Retractable Camera

As a flagship guy, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra packs a solid camera setup. Especially, the 50MP 1-inch main camera is retractable which pops up whenever you click a picture. This is all possible due to an intricate motorized structure that is tested for 300,000 cycles of expansion and contraction. You get a variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0 and a 22.5mm focal length.

Second up, there is a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3.5X optical zoom. Huawei has also provided a 35x super macro mode on this camera to capture close-up subjects. Likewise, the third unit is an ultrawide shooter with a 40MP resolution and a f/2.2 aperture. In terms of videography, the Pura 70 Ultra can shoot up to 4K videos at 60fps. No 8K recording here! Talking of the design, the Pura 70 Ultra brings a unique-looking triangular camera module on the back. The aluminum middle frame is a slightly curved one while the display bears minimal bezels. It also secures an IP68 rating against dust and water drips. Likewise, the device is available in four colorways: Chanson green, Mocha brown, Starburst white, and Star black.

As for the screen, it is a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. Other features include a wide P3 color gamut support, 1440Hz PWM dimming, 300Hz touch sampling rate, and Xuanwu tempered Kunlun glass protection.

Powering the Pura 70 Ultra from the core is a Kirin 9010 chipset. It is rumored to boast a 4+6+2 core architecture with a 7nm fabrication process, which slightly outperforms the Kirin 9000s used in the Mate 60 series. Huawei has paired the chip with 16GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB of internal storage. Likewise, booting the phone is Huawei’s HarmonyOS 4.2.

This flagship smartphone gets its juice from a 5200mAh battery. It supports 100W wired, 80W wireless, and 20W reverse wireless charging support. You also get satellite connectivity with Beidou and Tiantong. Other connectivity features include WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.

Transsion Holding subsidiary — Infinix, launched three new offerings under the Hot 40 series of smartphones. The base variant of the series goes by the name — Infinix Hot 40i and comes with a 90Hz screen and a “Magic Ring” feature. And it is official in Nepal as well. We’ll delve further into Infinix Hot 40i, discuss its specifications, official price in Nepal, and more.

Infinix Hot 40i Overview

Design and Display

All the Infinix Hot 40 series phones follow a similar flat design pattern with a camera island with three camera cutouts on the back. The Infinix Hot 40i is also available in four color options: Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, Palm Blue, and Starfall Green. In the meantime, it measures 8.30 mm and weighs 190 grams.

Oppo Reno 11F 5G review: This time Oppo got it right!

Today I’m excited to dive into the Oppo Reno 11F 5G, a new smartphone that has made its way into the Nepalese market, priced at NPR 44,000 for the 8GB/256GB variant. The OPPO Reno series is very popular and sells well in the offline market in India. The Reno series is considered not just mid-range but also part of OPPO’s (semi) premium segment. Now, let’s get into the review of Oppo Reno 11F 5G starting from its unboxing.

What’s inside the box?

Right out of the box, the Oppo Reno 11F comes with the usual accessories— a SIM ejector, a 67W fast charger, a protective case, and user manuals. The phone’s first impression is slightly marred by its plastic back, an unexpected choice at this price point.

The design of the phone is quite flashy, featuring a marble-like appearance that catches the eye. And, as mentioned, the back is made of plastic, not glass—a contrast to competitors like the A35, which offers a glass back at this price point. However, it still manages to look sleek and not cheap.

Like all the phones these days, it comes in a boxy design. It’s very thin and light, which is great, and the way it feels in your hand is really good too. And, if you’re not into this flashy color, you may opt for the green one. Also, there is an IP65 rating against dust and water splash protection, which is not that bad but, I feel a higher one would have made more sense here!

Display

Flipping over the phone, it’s clear that OPPO has done a great job! The bezels are minimal, avoiding any bulky look, and notably, OPPO has included a punch-hole notch for the selfie camera.

Additionally, you get a 6.7-inch Full HD+ OLED display. When watching content on YouTube in 4K resolution, HDR content looks fantastic with highlights popping brilliantly and the overall output appearing quite punchy. However, it lacks HDR certification for streaming platforms like Netflix, but this isn’t much of a concern for me as the display still offers rich contrast.

The 120Hz refresh rate is well-optimized. You can set the display to automatically adjust up to 60Hz depending on the content, ensuring a fluid scrolling experience.

However, discussing the haptics, they honestly feel a bit cheap, as the vibration feedback isn’t very strong and lacks a premium feel. On the other hand, the in-display fingerprint sensor is excellent and responds quickly.

For outdoor visibility, OPPO has equipped the phone with a peak brightness of 900 nits, and it can even reach up to 1100 nits, which sounds modest compared to other phones boasting higher numbers. However, trust me, it’s sufficiently bright for most situations.

The Oppo Reno 11F 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which is quite decent for its price range. It’s comparable to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, suggesting it’s neither spectacular nor poor for the price. Additionally, when compared to the Exynos 1380 found in the similarly priced Galaxy A35, the Dimensity 7050 performs better, not just in benchmark scores but also in practical usage.

In terms of gaming, the results are somewhat better. While playing PUBG, it doesn’t quite hit 60 fps smoothly, but gameplay is quite good at 40 fps. Genshin Impact also runs well on low settings at 30 fps, and there are no issues at all with less demanding games.

For everyday tasks, the phone handles well with minimal problems. There were occasional slight stutters, but nothing that significantly impacted the overall performance. It’s worth noting that these minor issues seem more related to software optimization than the chipset’s capability.

OS: Android 14, ColorOS 14

The Oppo Reno 11F 5G runs Android 14 paired with Color OS 14, offering a fresh and up-to-date software experience. It provides extensive customization options, with a wealth of choices in wallpapers and themes to personalize your device. However, one downside is the presence of bloatware; the phone comes preloaded with various unnecessary apps, random games, and an app market that might not be useful to everyone, adding clutter to the system.

Oppo commits to three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, which is not that bad for user experience.

Battery

5000 mAh and 67W charging

The battery life of this phone is quite impressive, featuring a 5000 mAh battery that comfortably lasts a full day on a single charge with regular use. For those who don’t use their phone as heavily, it can stretch to almost two days. Additionally, it includes a 67W fast charger that can fully charge the phone in about an hour, making it convenient for quick top-ups.

My main criticism lies with the video capabilities; although the phone can shoot 4K videos with good detail, the lack of Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) makes the footage quite unstable. Here, the Galaxy A35 outperforms it significantly. However, if you need more stability, shooting in 1080p is possible, where EIS is available to enhance video stability.

Oppo Reno 11F 5G Review: Conclusion

For the price of NPR 44,000, this phone is a decent option. Although the Galaxy A35 offers better specs (in a few segments), it is also more expensive and falls short in performance, an area where Oppo has paid attention. My main complaint with this phone is its single speaker – MEH! I was expecting a good set of stereo speakers but it is what it is. Additionally, having a glass back might have enhanced its appeal further. Apart from these points, everything else about the phone is quite good.

Thus, for its price, the Oppo Reno 11F 5G is a decent mid-range option focused on efficiency and overall user experience. However, if you’re looking for better performance in a similar price range, consider the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, which offers superior GPU and CPU performance, but at a slightly higher price of Rs. 47,999.

Vivo launched the T3 5G just last month. Now, the company has launched a more budget-friendly “x” variant of the phone. It also comes as the successor to the Vivo T2x. In this article, we will discuss the Vivo T3x 5G in further detail including its expected price in Nepal.

Vivo T3x 5G Overview

Design and Display

Even though the latest Vivo entry is in the same lineup as the Vivo T3 5G, the two phones do not look remotely similar. The phone comes with a circular camera dial that houses two cameras. It features 2D plastic on the back and boasts IP64 dust and water resistance. The Vivo T3x 5G ships in two options: Crimson Bliss with a plain finish, and Celestial Green with reflective curved patterns on the back.

On the front, the phone greets us with a 6.72-inch LCD panel that stretches FHD+ in resolution. In the meantime, it also offers a smooth refresh rate of 120Hz while reaching a local peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Other than that, the panel on the Vivo T3x 5G has a pixel density of 393 PPI and an 83% NTSC colour saturation.

Performance

Moving on to the performance side of things, the latest Vivo phone packs the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset under its helm. This lower-midrange Qualcomm processor comes with eight cores, 4nm fabrication, and a peak clock speed of 2.2 GHz.

In addition to that, the Vivo T3x 5G comes in three memory options i.e. 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB. Moreover, you extend the phone’s memory by an additional 8GB, if need be. Contrarily to the memory option, you only get 128GB of internal storage. However, you can expand the storage by another 1TB externally. On the software front, it boots on the FunTouch OS 14 based on Android 14.

Camera and the rest

In terms of cameras, you get a dual-camera lineup on the back. The primary of which is a 50MP shooter. Meanwhile, you get a 2MP bokeh camera as an auxiliary unit on the Vivo T3x 5G. With this combination, it offers various shooting modes including the ability to record 4K videos (8GB variant only). Similarly, on the front, it houses a single 8MP unit underneath its hole-punch camera cutout.

The Vivo T3x 5G draws its power from a 6,000 mAh battery, which is on the higher end of today’s industry standard. While the large battery is there, it also supports 44W fast charging. Furthermore, you get a dual-speaker lineup for an immersive audio experience. It comes with dual SIM dual standby, 5G cellular, dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth v5.1 for wireless connectivity. On the other hand, the wired connections are handled by a sole USB 2.0 Type-C port.

Itel, a Chinese phone manufacturer company has unveiled its latest smartphone — “A70” in Nepal. In this article, we will discuss the latest budget smartphone — Itel A70 in detail, including its specifications, features, availability, price in Nepal, and so on. Let’s proceed, shall we?

Itel A70 Overview:

Design and Display

In terms of design, the Itel A70 has taken the orthodox route with chunky camera cutouts on the back. The phone features text reading “AI” and “Matrix Camera” written on the camera island. It also has another text reading “Awesome Designed by Itel” on its lower half. It is available in four different colours: Brilliant Gold, Starlish Black, Field Green, and Azure Blue.

On the front, we are greeted with a 6.6” HD+ screen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels. It has a waterdrop camera cutout and is capable of 500 nits of peak brightness. Furthermore, it has a touch sampling rate of 120Hz. The company has remained silent about the type of display, and refresh rate. However, we assume it to be an IPS LCD panel, and 60Hz respectively.

Performance

Under the hood, we are getting a Unisoc T603 octa-core processor. It is coupled with three sets of memory and storage configurations. The base model comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Similarly, the remaining two configurations are 4GB + 128GB, and 4GB + 256GB which are not available in Nepal as of now. Furthermore, the Itel A70 offers an additional 2 TB support via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It comes with Android 13 (Go edition) with Itel OS 13 on top.

Camera and the rest

The Itel A70 comes with three cameras altogether. It has three camera cutouts on the back, however, one of them is reserved as the flashlight. We are getting a dual camera setup with a 13MP sensor as the primary camera coupled with an auxiliary unit. Meanwhile, on the front, we have an 8MP camera for selfies. Itel has slapped AI on both the rear and front cameras for various reasons.

Powering the entire system is a 5,000 mAh cell with the “Power Marathon” feature. Similarly, in terms of charging, it can be juiced up by a USB Type-C cable.
