Oppo launched the K12 in China in April, and a year later, they have now released the K12s. This new model isn’t a brand-new phone but basically the Oppo K13 from India with a few changes. It now has NFC, more storage options, and an extra color choice. In this piece of article, we will discuss the Oppo K12s, including its specifications and expected price in Nepal.

Oppo K12s measures 163.21 × 76.13 × 8.45mm and weighs 208 grams, which makes it fairly light for its size. For added convenience and security, it includes an in-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared sensor.

Vivo has recently launched two new tablets under the names the Vivo Pad SE and the Vivo Pad5 Pro. We have covered the latter already, so in this piece we are going to dive into everything about the Vivo Pad SE, including its features, specs, and what it might cost in Nepal.

Vivo Pad SE Overview

Design and Display

Vivo has designed the Pad SE with a sleek and slim look and a clean, single-tone back. It comes in the regular one, which is 6.8mm thick and weighs 559 grams, and another Soft Light Version, which is slightly thicker at 6.78mm and heavier at 569 grams. That second version includes a paper-like screen layer that cuts glare and makes reading way easier, perfect for students or long reading sessions.

Up front, Vivo fits a slightly smaller display compared to its other tablets. You get a 12.3-inch LCD panel with a 2,464 x 1,600 resolution and a wider-than-usual aspect ratio. Moreover, this screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate, sRGB color space, and hits up to 600 nits in brightness.

Performance and Battery

Inside, the Pad SE seems to run on a Qualcomm chip, and while Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed it, people online believe it’s the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. This is paired with 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. On the software side, the device runs on Origin OS, which is smooth enough for everyday tasks.

Battery-wise, it has a decent 8,500mAh unit that charges at 15W. Vivo says it can stream videos for up to 8 hours straight, which should get most people through a day. There are 4 speakers onboard too, so the media should sound pretty full.

In terms of optics, the tablet includes two 5MP cameras, one in the front and one in the back. It comes with a clip-on mirror attachment that turns your front camera into a document scanner.

You can scan your notes, assignments, and textbooks. Even better, the software does OCR (Optical Character Recognition) letting you tap any word for its definition using the built-in dictionary. It hasn’t been long since Vivo launched the X200 Ultra and X200s, and now they’ve already unveiled two new tablets. These are the Vivo Pad5 Pro and the Vivo Pad SE. In this article, we’ll focus only on the Vivo Pad5 Pro, including its features and the expected price in Nepal.

Vivo Pad5 Pro Overview

Design and Display

The Vivo Pad5 Pro looks sleek and stylish with a large 13-inch screen and a simple, clean back panel. It’s quite slim at just 6.07mm and weighs 635g, making it easy to carry. Vivo also offers a “feather-light” version, which gets even slimmer at 5.96mm and much lighter at 578g. The tablet supports a stylus, and if you want to boost productivity, there’s a Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro case that’s sold separately. It’s available in Cold Gray, Spring Tide Blue, Cloud Pink, and Feather Light White (the last one being exclusive to the lighter model).

In the front, the screen resolution stands at 3,096 x 2,064 pixels, and it gets super bright with 1,200 nits. What makes it great for media consumption is the 10-bit color support, HDR10, and a super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. Bezels are visible but not too distracting, with the aspect ratio of 3:2. Depending on the type of game, the tablet can switch between rendering at 3.1K or 2.4K at 120fps using super-resolution.

Inside, the Vivo Pad5 Pro features the strong and efficient MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. It includes one high-speed Cortex X925 core at 3.63GHz, three Cortex X4 cores at 3.3GHz, and four Cortex A720 cores at 2.4GHz. For graphics, you get the Mali-G925 Immortalis MP12, which will handle the most demanding tasks with ease.

You can choose between 8/12/16GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of storage. The 128GB version uses UFS 3.1, but the 256GB and 512GB models come with the faster UFS 4.1, so data transfers will be noticeably quicker. On the software side, the device runs Origin OS 5 HD, which Vivo says brings PC-level office tools. That’s a big plus if you want to get work done on a tablet. Powering all this is a large 12,050mAh battery that can last up to 16 hours of streaming. It supports 66W fast charging, so you can top it up pretty quickly.

In the camera department, the Pad5 Pro has a 13MP rear camera that can shoot in 4K, and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies or video calls. Itel announces its budget A80 smartphone with a 50MP camera in Nepal!

Itel is a brand name that comes quite a lot in the budget smartphone space and now there’s a new model that’s up for grabs for an affordable ask. The Itel A80 is the successor to the A70 smartphone and brings a host of improvements from a faster display to a more capable camera system. In this article, we’ll briefly touch on the features and specifications of the item A80 alongside its price in Nepal and availability.

Itel A80 Overview

Design and Display

Despite being a budget phone, the Itel A80 looks quite presentable with its shimmery back and rounded corners. The smartphone is available in ‘Wave Blue’, ‘Glacial White’, and ‘Sandstone Black color options all of which have some sort of gradient going for them. The Blue looks the most intriguing to me with its radial lines and wavy aesthetics but the other two look just as good too. Itel A80 also sports an IP54 dust and water rating against debris and splashes.

In terms of the display, you are getting an expansive 6.7-inch IPS screen that’s slightly larger than its predecessor. Though the resolution is still stuck at just 720p, there’s a big boost in refresh rate from a mere 60Hz to a smooth 120Hz which should provide noticeable improvement in terms of UI fluidity and responsiveness. The waterdrop notch is also replaced with a modern-looking hole punch but the brightness level is still capped at 500 nits.

Performance and Memory

Powering the A80 is the same chip Itel used in its predecessor. It’s the Unisoc T603 with eight ARM A55 cores running at up to 1.8GHz. There’s not much information available online about the chip itself but Itel promises a “3 years lag-free” experience on the A80. Although we are not exactly sure what that means, the phone should handle your day-to-day activities like calls, texts, web browsing, and streaming just fine.

There’s only a sole 4/128GB variant available in Nepal and you can use 4GB of your storage for up to a total of 8GB Extended RAM (4GB physical + 4 GB virtual). There’s also an SD card slot that can help you store your photos and videos up to a capacity of 2TB. The smartphone ships with Android 14 with Itel OS 14 on top.

Camera and Battery

There’s also a big improvement when it comes to the cameras as the A80 features a 50MP main shooter over the 13MP one in the A70. The secondary lens is just a 0.08MP auxiliary as usual but the look is more refined now accompanied by a ‘unique ring light’. Over on the front, you get a similar 8MP selfie cam, now housed inside the hole-punch instead of a waterdrop notch.

That’s set to change in iOS 19. According to leaker Jon Prosser, Apple is relocating the search bar to the bottom of the screen, putting it right within reach of the user’s thumb. This ergonomic shift means searching in apps will now feel smoother, faster, and more natural.

The new placement isn’t just about convenience, it’s about consistency. Prosser’s mockups show the search bar appearing at the bottom across different types of apps. Vivo just launched its new smartwatch, the Watch 5, in China. It’s a small upgrade over the Watch 3 but still packs better features. Let’s take a look at what the Vivo Watch 5 offers, including its specs and the expected price in Nepal.

The design stays mostly the same, keeping the round shape and offering both silicone and leather strap options. It’s very lightweight too, with a weight of just 32g without the strap. You can pick from Night Black or Moonlight White colors.

JBL has dropped two new speakers in Nepal, and we’ve already covered the JBL Flip 7 in another article. So let’s talk about the JBL Charge 6 and what makes it stand out, including its features, official price in Nepal, and availability.

JBL Charge 6 Overview

Audio and build

The JBL Charge 6 packs a punch with clear sound and powerful bass. It delivers bold audio with JBL’s “AI Sound Boost”, giving you less distortion and crisp audio. It covers a frequency range from 56 Hz to 20 kHz. And thanks to Auracast technology, you can pair multiple JBL Charge 6 speakers for an even richer audio experience.

The speaker system includes a 53 x 93 mm woofer for bass (with 30W of output power) and a 20mm tweeter for treble (with 10W of output power). While the max output of the speaker itself is rated at 45W.

The Charge 6 is also fairly compact, measuring 9.0 x 3.9 x 3.7 inches and weighing 990 grams with the strap. And as always, you don’t need to worry about dust or water damage for this thing since it’s IP68-rated. You can choose from a bunch of color options like white, black, purple, camo, red, and blue, all with a detachable handle strap.

JBL says this speaker is eco-friendly, made with 77% post-consumer recycled plastic and 100% recycled fabric for the grille. The packaging is made from FSC-certified paper printed with soy ink.

Battery and connectivity

In terms of battery life, you get up to 24 hours of playtime with the JBL Charge 6… with JBL’s “Playtime Boost” feature taking that number up to 28 hours. It takes about 3 hours for a full charge, although a quick 10-minute charge gives you 150 minutes of playtime. And because the Charge 6 has such a big battery, it can even double as a powerbank for your smartphone.

For connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 5.4, while you can even enjoy lossless audio if you connect it via the USB-C port. But you should know that it’ll only be available later on via an OTA update through the “JBL Portable” app.
